:Slow Go has a different Japanese name between Paper Mario and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door and no one has brought up the possibility of splitting those because they're functionally the same. This is the same case here, have the same English name and function so I don't see much point in splitting these. Article is not very big either. 16:59, December 31, 2024 (EST)

::I'm actually not particularly in favor of a split myself, but to play devil's advocate, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door not only is in the same sub-series as Paper Mario but serves as a direct follow-up, neither of which is the case for Mario & Luigi: Brothership with regards to Super Paper Mario (though yes, I'm aware the two sub-series have still borrowed quite a bit from each other and the last original Mario & Luigi game before this was literally a crossover with Paper Mario). But because of this, I'd say Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door can be presumed to be directly iterating on Paper Marios items and mechanics whenever applicable while that's not necessarily the case for Mario & Luigi: Brothership and a Paper Mario game (especially a less recent one). Basically, I mean that Super Paper Mario and Mario & Luigi: Brothership both having an item called a Return Pipe in English with a similar function could just be a coincidence, whereas Paper Mario and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door both having a badge called Slow Go in English with the same function is likely not. Though I personally don't think that necessarily warrants a split either... PaperSplash (talk) 21:10, December 31, 2024 (EST)
