Although he has not appeared in person, he can be seen in the background in a picture. This means that he at least makes a cameo, which still means that he's in the game. I'm just going to add him.

You will just try to figure it out, but you should ride Yoshi, because you may JUST HATE BEING HIT BY AN ENEMY. This is how you ride Yoshi. Also, there are new Baby Yoshis: Balloon Baby Yoshi, Bubble Baby Yoshi, and Glowing Baby Yoshi.

Unbelievable
This might be like Super Mario Bros. 3 cause Boom-Boom is the fortress boss and Koopalings are back AGAIN! in the 4th and probably final New Super Mario Bros. game in the series. Bu the Koopalings just unbeleivable! DAng!
--User:CRode
*Yeah, I refuse to believe that this game is more like SMB3 just because Boom-Boom and the Koopalings are here. Not to mention this is a talk page about the article. What you're writing is better suited for the forums. DonnyKD (talk) 21:15, 8 September 2012 (EDT)
*Well, I was just shocked that the Koopalings are back once AGAIN! And Boom-Boom but the Koopalings they just returned and they're back again!
**It's true that the fact that Boom Boom making his appearance in New Super Mario Bros. U, the game that looks similar to Super Mario World, is just unbelievable. Also that the fact that the Reznors appearing in New Super Mario Bros. 2, the game that looks similar to that of Super Mario Bros. 3, is unbelievable as well. But just know the fact that Boom Boom still needed to make another modern appearance after Super Mario 3D Land and reprise his role as a troublemaker, also, one of the major members of the Koopa Troop. Pom Pom should reappear as well (don't forget about her). Remember that Bowser Jr. often replaced the Koopalings and Boom Boom. Yeah, feels like the New Super Mario Bros. games are getting some sort of...how should I say it..."unmatching mix-up". On-topic, I believe that we really need a screenshot of Boom Boom or an artwork of Boom Boom from New Super Mario Bros. U. Is there any screenshot of Boom Boom around?--Prince Ludwig (talk) 01:13, 9 September 2012 (EDT)

I think the sparkly thing you see is actually the Mii with the Flying Squirrel suit, and the block you're saying is just the enlightenment of the screen imo. <span style="border: 2px solid cyan; -moz-border-radius-topleft: 2em; -moz-border-radius-topright: 1em; -moz-border-radius-bottomleft: 1em; -moz-border-radius-bottomright: 2em; background-color: darkblue; padding: 5px;"> <font face="none"><span style="font-family:Goo Puff"><font size="3"><big>dodgerblue</big></font></span><span style="font-family:Goo Puff"><font size="3">cyan</font></span></font></span>

Not really, some other platformers do this as well, such as Donkey Kong Country Returns and Mario Sunshine.
However you should mention the glass shell.

but where are they found, at least describe the place and ill search."  if so, i'm up to sparkling waters (i got my Wii U for christmas and much prefer Nintendo Land, and i hardly have time to play it.) so before or during it, sorry if that doesn't help.86.148.182.78 16:09, 3 January 2013 (EST)

Glitch?
In Firefall Cliffs (Peach's Castle-4) there is a brick block that will soon be destroyed by a huge fireball. It is just after the Green Coin ring. However, you can use the shell nearby and, with good timing, throw it at the brick. It will become a solid Used Block, 'protected' by the fireball. Should I count this as a glitch?
World Map
Will you please change the numbers? Sparkling Waters and Frosted Glacier can be skipped for each other. It should be:
*World 1: Acorn Plains: A grassy world with plenty of shrubs, slanted mountains, and the Acorn Tree.
*World 2: Layer-Cake Desert: A desert world with various desserts, such as melting ice creams, giant cakes, and a sea of sand with Moai-like statues.
*World 3a: Sparkling Waters: A tropical world with multiple islands, bubbling water geysers, and a sunken ship. This world can be entirely skipped for Frosted Glacier.
*World 3b: Frosted Glacier: A snowy world that takes place at night filled with stars and constellations. This world can be entirely skipped for Sparkling Waters.
*World 4: Soda Jungle: A rainforest-esque world similar to the Forest of Illusion, with giant enemies and blocks, similar to Big Island.
*World 5: Rock-Candy Mines: A mountainous world with tall, pillar like mountains. A cloud train seems to separate this world from the next world.
*World 6: Meringue Clouds: A sky world resembling the foreground of levels in World 7 from New Super Mario Bros. Wii.
*World 7: Peach's Castle: A grassland area, similar to World 1 from the previous New Super Mario Bros. games, containing mushroom hills and the castle of the princess. It has been taken over by the Koopa Troop and is slowly transformed into Bowser's image until eventually being surrounded by a tornado. By the time the player reaches the castle grounds, it has been transformed into a lava-based area. Princess Peach's castle remains mostly unchanged on the outside (the flags now have Bowser's symbol on them) but on the inside it is similar to Bowser's Castle from previous installments.
*World 8: Superstar Road: A secret world unlocked after beating Bowser's final battle. Its levels must be unlocked with the Star Coins collected from all the levels of previous worlds.
*Secret Island: A small area between Acorn Plains and Sparkling Waters that houses a Records Toad House. It must be unlocked as the same way as Superstar Road.
*Coin Courses: A multiplayer exclusive world found in Coin Battle.

:Just because a World can be skipped doesn't change the World's name. If otherwise officially named, we should leave it as it is.

The game officially considers Sparkling Water as World 3 and Frosted Glacier as World 4. There are several ways to see this in-game: 1. The flags in the file select screen. 2. Menu screens such as the warp pipe cannon and star coin collection screen has Sparkling Waters as the third world to be selected and Frosted Glacier as the fourth world to be selected. 3. Superstar Road-3 is unlocked by collecting all star coins in Sparkling Waters while Superstar Road-4 is unlocked by collecting all star coins in Frosted Glacier. I have said this before, and I'll say it again. This game is a prototype of New Super Mario Bros. Mii. NSMBM and this game ARE THE SAME GAME. The pages should be merged ASAP.--Thejfh1999 (talk) 18:44, 30 October 2013 (EDT)

::::::Same graphics, same engine and same level design? So if you were to disregard the valid points provided by Baby Luigi and Mario4Ever and stick with this argument as the only reason to merge the two articles, then I can see you proposing to merge the first three Donkey Kong Country games into one, because they have the "same graphics, same engine and same level design".
