Shouldn't the ''[[Super Smash Bros.]]'' and ''[[Super Smash Bros. Melee]]'' versions of this stage be two seperate articles? The introduction paragraph even states that they are two different stages and links to two different articles on the Smash Wiki. Doesn't make much sense to me that they're both on the same article. {{User:LuigiMaster123/sig}} 19:48, 8 August 2018 (EDT)

:::::::Most likely the developers don't consider Battlefield and Final Destination to be one of the old Past Stages because they are original stages that don't represent another series, not to mention that they can somewhat be considered "new" in that they are selectable instead of 1P exclusive. :::::::::Still, note how the other returning N64 stages are generally labeled as such and always retain the look and feel of the Nintendo 64 iteration but at a higher resolution (the exception being Mushroom Kingdom due to NES accuracy being prioritized over N64 nostalgia), whereas Battlefield and Final Destination typically get graphically redesigned every game to take advantage of the hardware. ::::::::::I still see this as more an attempt at retooling the original that didn't fully carry through. Of note is how the totally different (but related) [[Mushroomy Kingdom]] has a joking variation on the title in multiple languages (including the special "Ancient" JP name), so that seems more where they decided to have them more as variants than iterations. :::::::::::With the exception of Nintendo 3DS limitations (and Ω and Battlefield forms and 8-Player Smash), I can't think of any significant instance where the gimmicks and layout of a returning stage were changed. Corneria and Brinstar only feature minor additions to Sector Z and Planet Zebes, but they're still considered new stages. In contrast, Mushroom Kingdom swaps some elements (semisolid Break Blocks, POW Blocks, functional Warp Pipes with Piranha Plants) with another (breakable Brick Blocks, ? Blocks, a second pit) and has a revised layout. ''Melee''<nowiki>'</nowiki>s stage may be based on an older one of the same name, but in the ''Super Smash Bros.'' series, that doesn't make it the same.
