:Only if said boss battles cannot be fought at all after a certain point. For example (the only one I can think of is non-Mario, sorry) in Undertale, the secret boss Glyde can only be fought before Papyrus is battled, so he is considered missable content. Doesn't [[New Super Mario Bros. 2]] have the sparkly star thing too like [[New Super Mario Bros. Wii]], only instead of [[Super Guide]] you have the the [[Assist Block]] threatening your sparkles? And doesn't [[New Super Mario Bros. U]] has a similar thing where if you simply don't use Super Guide, the stars begin shining a little?
