With the release of the Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition, it seems very unsettling that the page title still only acknowledges the Wii U Edition, that's why I'm proposing to simply move this page to be titled simply as Minecraft, with no specification of the platform edition in the title. We should treat both versions equally, because, in a sense, the Switch Edition is not a port of the Wii U Edition... well, it kinda is, but in the case for Minecraft, all versions are just ports of the original PC version. This neutrality is to assure the Switch Edition gets a proper treatment, if we take look at the infobox at the beginning, there is little mention of the Switch Edition aside from the platform spot (which looks misleading saying that Minecraft: Wii U Edition is the version available on Nintendo Switch), no one has added its release date, the media or the control input.

::In fact, I hate that title (along with wondering why we cover all aspects of Smash rather than Mario-related aspects, but that's a discussion for a different part of MarioWiki). Although Nintendo doesn't recognize Super Smash Bros. 4, that is a better title to type out and doesn't accidentally create a subpage. It feels like it should be a disambiguation page to avoid violations of MarioWiki:Once and only once. -- 00:18, 19 May 2017 (EDT)

Hi, I actually edits the Official Minecraft Wiki very frequently, started about 11 months ago, under the name "HaydenBobMutthew". So I am very experienced with Minecraft and so I know that Minecraft have a few editions. According to the wiki, the following table summarises the editions and whether this edition have Super Mario Mash-up Pack or not.

So, Minecraft means the game in general. Simply call the title "Minecraft" will cause readers confusion between editions. I think that it should be renamed to be Minecraft: Wii U / Switch / 3DS / Bedrock Edition or something similar. --HaydenKenMutthew (talk) 10:43, 19 July 2018 (EDT)

#Alex95 - It's meant to be a collective name. I don't think anyone will get confused searching for XBox 360 information on the Super Mario Wiki. We're only covering the Super Mario Mash-Up pack information, not the whole game itself. The page did used to be called "Minecraft: Wii U Edition", but was changed to simply "Minecraft" per the previous proposal above. Per the above proposal.
#BBQ Turtle Per Alex95 and the above proposal.
#TheFlameChomp Per Alex95 and the previous proposal.
#Waluigi Time Per all.
#Toadette the Achiever Per all.
#Mario jc Per all.
#Doc von Schmeltwick Collective title>Overly-long slashy title. Per all.
#Niiue Per all.
#rollerC I was unsure about whether or not this would be good for the article, but considering looking up "minecraft mario wiki" on Google would give you Minecraft - Super Mario Wiki I doubt there would be any confusion over what the purpose of the article is. Per Alex95, per the previous proposal, per all.

I think there should be articles for a lot of Minecraft stuff.
I think there should be articles for a lot of Minecraft stuff. Since the Minecraft Nintendo versions have Mario characters, it means that the Minecraft series are now Mario games, and I think the characters and a lot of other stuff except for Steve because he has his own article, should have their own separate articles.
I also think that all of the Bowser's Fury cat enemies should have their own separate articles because Cat Goofball and Meowser do. I also had wondered what would the cat enemies would look like until they were shown. 107.146.244.150 22:00, June 22, 2021 (EDT)
:A Mario-themed reskin pack does not make Minecraft a full-on Mario game. So no, we are not giving it full coverage. 22:18, June 22, 2021 (EDT)
OK. 107.146.244.150 00:14, June 23, 2021 (EDT)
::I do think that we should probably at least describe behaviors of things instead of just "{x} replaces {y}" on the separate entity pages. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 22:04, July 2, 2021 (EDT)
How do we know it is the Minecart from Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker?
Are we 100% sure that the minecart is a reskin? For all I know the treasure chest cold be from SMB3.
Door Painting Origin
What game does the normal Door painting come from? --CBFan5 (talk) 20:53, July 29, 2021 (EDT)
I think it may come from Super Mario 3D Land's toad houses -Weej

Does anyone know where the soul sand texture is from? I can't think of what it is supposed to be. - LBlueLuigi

The red Moo Moo render is missing the Super Mushrooms that should be on top of it, and my image of the Moo Moo with the Super Mushrooms got deleted.--Jivan (talk) 23:45, October 24, 2022 (EDT)

Why does this article exist?
Seriously, why does this article exist? Can't we move ALL of this into the "list of Mario references in third party games" article? 99.234.207.128 08:02, March 16, 2023 (EDT)
:That would make for a very long section within an already big page. This is an official thing which I believe Nintendo were involved with, so it should have a page about it. 08:57, March 16, 2023 (EDT)
Thanks for answering, I just want the Mario stuff in Minecraft in the article. Isn't there a failed proposal about this? 99.234.207.128 07:34, May 6, 2023 (EDT)
New Images for Blocks and Items category
Hello, I've uploaded all of the images to turn the Blocks and Items section into a gallery like the other sections. I'm currently ill and don't have the energy to make the gallery, so please, if someone has time, finish the job that I've started. A Big Thanks, if anyone does it! - User:Luigi 1837 | talk
The problem with unknown mobs
ScratchCat5754 I've been doing a lot of work on the Minecraft page because I have the mash-up pack on my Switch at home. I don't know about the origins of the Parrot, Tropical Fish, Skeleton Horse and the Zombie Horse. I've tried researching on the wiki, but I couldn't find anything. Also, where did that angry Poochy face come from?
Redundant Images
Weej Should we delete the images from the building blocks section that are already listed in the door and wood types? We could condense a lot of the information that way
Minecraft/Super Mario animals what they are Vs wta in Mario one
