This article should be a american name like most games on the wiki. The Mario strikers charged football name can be in the other languages template. We should make this page a redirect to the Mario Strikers Changed article in the future if we make an article for it. So we should make a [[Mario Strikers Charged]] article instead of this one.

::::I'm confused, what else ''would'' colspans be used for is such a case? Also, I had to strain my eyes to even find the labels for things with the old tables, since again, it wasn't consistently ordered and was formatted poorly. Either way, I agree either method would look better without the (often poorly described) animations listed. I just wish we could find official names for the Mega Strikes so they can be listed normally too. For the record, I was inspired by {{user|Nintendo101}}'s table improvements on ''Super Mario'' series pages, since I realized the "sports" spinoffs (including the kart games) don't get much love (and also this is more consistent with ''Battle League''{{'}}s page). I've been going through them systematically for a little while, since I had previously done so with ''Diddy Kong Racing'' and no one had any complaint with it there. :::::Yeah, the old table was definitely a lot more readable in my opinion. If the biggest problem with the bullet points was that they weren't in a consistent order then they just should've been reorganized. I don't see how it was difficult to read before, they were all fairly short lines that had what it was describing right next to it. There's a number of problems here and this should probably be redesigned from the ground-up:
1. The table is designed incorrectly. Tables should be designed horizontally, not vertically. This is a problem with a lot of the tables on the wiki and it's something I've talked with Lakituthequick (who is well-versed in web design) about on multiple occasions.
2. Excessive use of images makes the table feel cluttered, one image per character is sufficient. Especially for the sidekicks, they [https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/297596959026446337/1113490703071322193/Screenshot_2023-05-31_at_11.33.20.png?width=458&height=627 don't look good at all] on smaller screens. (The recently redone Double Dash table has the same issue of using way too many images and being overwhelming to look at.)
3. The description of what each cell actually is has been moved too far away by being centered on the page. If you're reading the characters on the sides, your eyes constantly have to jump back to the middle of the page. The bullet lists were neater in this aspect.
4. Stemming from the first problem, focusing on a single character while editing is much more difficult because that information is now broken up and mixed with other characters.
5. As already pointed out the sections are no longer accessible from the table of contents, an issue made worse when you consider that the table probably takes up even more vertical space (and thus longer scrolling time) than it did before. A table of contents is as long as it needs to be, so this change just made navigation more difficult for the sake of it looking nicer.
I appreciate the effort and initiative to improve these pages, don't get me wrong, but there's a lot of problems here that need addressing. (I'd also agree that we probably don't need to describe character animations on game pages, that's more of the nitty-gritty stuff that doesn't impact gameplay so much and better suited for the character articles themselves.) --{{User:Waluigi Time/sig}} 12:03, May 31, 2023 (EDT)

::::::I have removed the lengthy animation descriptions and changed the description/uniform/emblem headers to be less centralized. Do you think it would be "too much" to upload the actual team emblems rather than just having descriptions for them? I find images are a lot quicker for eyes to register than words, which is why I add things like item images, while the label icons just add further clarity on where that character's section starts and looks nice. Could anchors and {{tem|edit}} solve the other issue? I like it when columns are properly aligned, which is difficult in separate templates. For things like player characters and bosses (when there is more than, say, four and not in a particular order in-game), I feel this grid-based tabling is better than tiny-image asymmetrical horizontal list tables (note how in Mario Kart Wii's previous revions, stat boosts were tucked away in a nearly-empty but still massive table below rather than be properly incorporated into the character list). Plus, this way, things like new and unlockable character don't have to rely on things like poorly-placed obscure asterisks to denote that.
