I found this story somewhere, then I saw it pop up on Wikipeida, but I forget where I saw it before Wikipedia:

Hmm... Thats not the Story for Mario Party DS... i mean its similar... but Bowser invited the Mario crew to his own castle... but after that its the same... i mean they WERE shrunk that small and they DID have to get the stars to return to normal size... but it has nothing to do with sky crystals... maybe this is from a Beta element of the game... {{User:Mariokid}}

Hah, I just got done playing that minigame. Its a 3 on 1 minigame, where someone rolls a big thing of meat, and 3 other players have to not fall off.

Yes, Bowser & Bowser JR invite everyone to the castle for dinner, then bowser captures them and shrinks them. Pirhana board is the first one.

== Chess pieces? ==

This is a stupid and trivial thing to obsess over, but this article uses a specific object comparison ("chess pieces") to refer to the sizes of the cast. It's also used in Bowser's article at one point (at least according to a Discord post I made about it in June 2023), and it's in [[History of Princess Peach]] if I'm wrong about Bowser). Yes, this question arose from a BJAODN entry[https://www.mariowiki.com/MarioWiki:BJAODN/Files_and_galleries#Gallery:Mario_Party_DS] using potato chips as the size reference and I was wondering "was this because the game referred to chess pieces at one point and then used 'potato chips' as inspiration?". But turns out, I'm not seeing any analogies to chess pieces in the box art, the manual, or in the game. Was this a MarioWiki invention or did Mario Party DS ever use that frame of reference in its promotional material? {{User:Mario/sig}} 18:48, September 13, 2024 (EDT)
