I dunno. It was mentioned to be widely considered the best in a 2007 issue of Nintendo Power, but I've never heard of it being called the best anywhere else.

On the SMRPG article, it says something like this. It says ''It is sometimes considered one of the best games for the Super Nintendo and possibly one of the best Mario games of all time.'' ,soooo. {{User:Toadette 4evur/sig}}

Well, many, many places, official sources, and fans say it's the best, that's a fact.
