However, this time the course will be released first on ''Mario Kart 8 Deluxe''. Thankfully for us, there's a solution to this dilemma. As I reported previously, every course added in both ''Mario Kart Tour'', ''Mario Kart 8'' and ''Mario Kart 8 Deluxe'' follows the very same naming conventions, said conventions include the platform for which the course was made. This means that ultimately the assignment of Sky-high Sundae as a new course of either ''Mario Kart 8 Deluxe'' or ''Mario Kart Tour'' will depend on said platform code (''mob'' for the courses made for ''Mario Kart Tour'', ''u'' for the courses of ''Mario Kart 8 Deluxe''). | ||
In any case, even if it turned out to be a course made for ''Mario Kart 8 Deluxe'' in my opinion we should nonetheless avoid statements like "''Sky-high Sundae'' is the first classic course from ''Mario Kart 8 Deluxe'' to be featured in ''Mario Kart Tour''", if anything because at this point it's more and more evident that the development team working on the courses of ''Mario Kart Tour'' is largely shared with the development team working on the Booster Course Pass and is thus rather designing courses for both rather than just targeting a single game. This means that Sky-high Sundae would be more the case of a course that is new for both ''Mario Kart Tour'' and ''Mario Kart 8 Deluxe''.
