| ::Peeking in on this front. Google Translate also states "Returned MARIO BROS." as a valid title for the game, so that might be a better page name? Especially if sticking it to the Mario Bros. Encyclopedia is a high enough priority. ~Camwood777 (talk) 22:57, November 27, 2022 (EST)

| I opened the file used for the boxart and its title is quite concerning: :File:Kaettekita_Mario_Bros._possible_boxart.jpg
| | I opened the file used for the boxart and its title is quite concerning: :File:Kaettekita_Mario_Bros._possible_boxart.jpg
|
| This makes me think that it's not official, and indeed it seems whoever made it just used the Famicom cover of the original version with the title of this version, so I think it should be removed.
| | This makes me think that it's not official, and indeed it seems whoever made it just used the Famicom cover of the original version with the title of this version, so I think it should be removed.
|
| I'm looking online for any official cover but I can't find any so I think the game was only released in a plastic sleeve. This guy here made a cover using the European NES re-release cover but that's not official either. The best thing I could find is this flyer which I don't know if it can work as the infobox image, but I think it deserves a spot in the Gallery at least.--Kombatgod (talk) 09:42, February 20, 2020 (EST) | | I'm looking online for any official cover but I can't find any so I think the game was only released in a plastic sleeve. | :FDS floppy disks didn't come in boxes but jewel cases with a wax sleeve over the disk. Kaettekita Mario Bros., however, was never sold separately. It was only available at Disk Writer kiosks. Customers would insert an FDS disk into the kiosk and select what game they would write on it. Because this game was a promotion, it costed only 400 yen as opposed to the usual 500, which made it the cheapest FDS game of all time. That picture is not boxart or sleeve art, it was most likely artwork put on the kiosk to let customers know it was available. This image: :File:Kaettekiaboxartreal.jpg is also interesting. Originally it was not KMB but some other game. When you use a kiosk, you would get a sticker to put on your disk. Since you could have written the game on either side A or side B, there are two different types of stickers. That image in particular is a side A sticker.--Platform (talk) 13:52, January 19, 2021 (EST) | | :FDS floppy disks didn't come in boxes but jewel cases with a wax sleeve over the disk. | ::I'm not having luck with reverse image searching the "possible boxart" and the uploader hasn't contributed in nearly a year (around the time this discussion started); if it's unverifiable then I'd either revert back to the title screen or maybe use the flyer since we already do that for arcade games. | ::Small update, KMB took up more data than I thought. The game required both sides of the disk so both stickers were needed to label it.--Platform (talk) 11:26, February 20, 2021 (EST)

| I've come to the conclusion that this is a fanmade cover. It does not appear in the most comprehensive FDS fansite and it lacks the Nagatanien logo which is found in the Kaettekita Mario Bros. disk stickers.jpg. The original never had a cover like other Disk Writer only games.--Platform (talk) 03:48, November 10, 2022 (EST)

| Again, more unofficial images are being uploaded: KMB Freezie Artwork.jpg and KMB Icicle Artwork.jpg. They were taken from Instagram. Ultimately, they are fanmade products made in Japan. The creator states that the original did not have a jacket label or instruction booklet: original sales post. The original product had a mostly colorless leaflet that was used as the basis for the fanmade booklet.--Platform (talk) 14:11, May 23, 2023 (EDT)

| ::Images from the leaflet can be used but there are probably better scans out there than the link I provided. This one was particularly difficult to spot since it was so well made that it looked official. It was only through prior experience researching the history of this game that caught my attention that something was wrong, which caused me to look deeper into this anomaly.--Platform (talk) 05:35, May 24, 2023 (EDT)

| ==Move?==
| |
| This website refers to this game as "Mario Bros. have returned". I know this is already stated on the article, but, why isn't the article moved to this? The encyclopedia is known for stealing titles from fan-made wikis, (making it an weaker source for a title). And seeing how this is both an English and non-encyclopedia name, why isn't it moved to that? 12:32, October 9, 2024 (EDT)
