Just as we split Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U into separate articles, but with Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U intact, would it be a good idea to create articles on Mario & Sonic games of both versions as well? Because searching and linking these games are such a pain in the ass. Take this quip: "He later appeared in Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games, classified as a speed character as well. His swim style is the Doggy Paddle and for his special move in Dream Fencing, he attacks the other player with his tongue which can result in knocking them off the stage." It's referring to the event in general, but is it really a good idea to link the game in question to a disambiguation page? 20:49, 5 October 2015 (EDT)

:::Follow the Super Smash Bros. for Wii U / 3DS example. 21:36, 5 October 2015 (EDT)
::::Agreed: the plain names should be articles, not disambig pages, for both linking/navigation purposes, and for being a more welcoming sight when someone Googles these titles and give us a shot. - 14:09, 13 November 2015 (EST)
The different colored Yoshis from the London 2012 Olympics on 3DS
Should the firrerent colored Yoshi be included in the "Playable Characters" section? They appear as playable characters in the Download Play version of the 3DS version of Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games in Medley Match. I think the colors playable in it are: Green, Red, Blue and Yellow. I don't know exactly, since I don't even have the game at all. One friend of mine does, but I gave my 3DS to service, and decided to get it back, since it has some small flaws that don't really matter. Neverthless, will they be added into the section I mentioned? Gold Luigi (talk) 07:52, 13 October 2016 (EDT)
:EDIT: Actually, I changed my mind. I would probably bring some confusion when including them or something, since only the full playable characters who are not reskins of another character are included on the list (unless they appeared as full seperate characters at least once, e.g. the multi-colored Yoshis from Mario Tennis Open). == Odd statement ==
"(...)it has been criticized for the choice of setting for both series(...)"
What does this statement mean? The way I read it, the games are being criticized for taking place...in the countries where the Olympics take place? What? I somehow doubt people are criticizing the Rio Olympics game for taking place in Rio de Janeiro. Shadow2 (talk) 17:04, 31 October 2017 (EDT)
Move or turn into disambig?
Apperently, Mario & Sonic redirects to this page, which i think does not make sense because we do not have any other thing called simply "Mario &  Sonic" (unlike other subjects like Mario & Luigi or Super Mario), and while we have the games who their names who their names start with "Mario & Sonic", i think this takes piority over the games, especially with Mario & Sonic redirecting here. Or maybe we could turn Mario & Sonic into a disambig page, like the two other subjects i mentioned earlier. 14:40, 30 August 2018 (EDT)
:The reason that Mario & Sonic redirects here and this uses a series identifier is that MarioWiki:Naming states that whether or not the title is shared, series pages should always have the identifier. I don’t feel turning it into a disambig page is necessary if no other subject uses the exact title. A similar thing happens with Mario Kart. -- 18:06, 30 August 2018 (EDT)
Characters and Types merge
On the playable characters chart, should we just include the character types in its own column instead of being completely separate? The Character Types tab just seems repetitive. (Characters from Rio who don't have a type can simply be marked as "Unclassified" or "Other"). PrPro03 (talk) 11:20, October 5, 2019 (EDT)
