Scooby-Doo reference?
I found a screenshot of the game on Reddit (link provided), and the image shows Snoutlet saying "Zoinks...they pounced from outta nowhere." (An obvious reference to Shaggy Rogers from the Scooby-Doo franchise.)

Should this be in the "References to other media" section? 184.190.131.102 22:12, November 30, 2024 (EST)
Hydro Seedles
Are we sure that the Hydro Seedles in the second Monster Mania quest are regular ones? TV Tropes calls them Hydro Seedle Rs and this video calls them Hydro Seedle (Special) PrincessPeachFan (talk) 19:53, December 2, 2024 (EST)
:They're special as they've the special property of the fight, but the name shown in game is Hydro Seedle. LetsPlayNintendoITA 20:05, December 2, 2024 (EST)
::The video calls the Helmet Zok Trooper special too cause of their property in the fight. LetsPlayNintendoITA 20:06, December 2, 2024 (EST)
Peach kidnapped
Peach is kidnapped in this game, but in this game peach is not kidnapped by bowser or a new villain. Which is why it’s optional. 73.142.13.185 10:37, December 15, 2024 (EST)
:It's optional because you can have Luigi get kidnapped by the Snaptors instead. Technetium (talk) 10:39, December 15, 2024 (EST)
Gossiping women
talk
What names are used for the gossiping women on Shipshape? They definitely need an article, but I'd like to avoid using a conjectural name if possible. Technetium (talk) 12:44, January 2, 2025 (EST)
Which unnamed NPCs should get articles?
talk
MarioWiki:Minor NPCs states that "if a minor NPC can be shown to have importance to the game or story, then the character warrants a conjectural name determined by the wiki and its own article." Besides the gossiping women (who definitely warrant an article and the question right now is what they should be called), there are many other minor NPCs who might deserve their own articles. I'd like to list the possibilities here so we can discuss each case - once we know who to make articles for, we can add them to the Brothership navigation box, giving us a clear indication of our progress on covering the game's characters.
Here are the possible characters I can think of right now - these conjectural names are not what would be used for the articles necessarily. Feel free to comment anymore I might've missed.
* Lottacoins Island cake maker (makes the cake for the wedding if you go with Shun's advice, though you can also totally ignore him if you don't listen to Shun)
* Slippenglide Island cake maker (same situation as above, but if you don't listen to Shun)
* The two flower crown guys (more wedding stuff)
* Explorer brothers (the guys on Allsand, they appear in multiple side quests)
* Bulbfish Island security guard (pretty important story wise, maybe security guard would count as a "name" here anyway…?)
* Security guard's brother (also plays a story role for Bulbfish and has a side quest)
* Lottacoins Island boss (his family getting kidnapped is a plot point on that island)
* One of the gossiping women's husbands (involved in a side quest iirc)
* The Club Dyode employee who hates Adaphne (based) (you need to talk to him to progress the story and get Adaphne out of the pool)
* Honestly a bunch more side quest characters, though I guess the thing there is that they could just be merged into the side quest page if they only ever appear in a single side quest
Technetium (talk) 12:44, January 2, 2025 (EST)
:I do think very minor NPCs that only appear in side quests should be only mentioned in the List of Mario & Luigi: Brothership side quests article once we get that finished up. Characters that are connected to other characters that are important to the plot (like Ireen's mom) or appear semi-frequently (like the Explorer brothers) should get their own articles. I'm not sure about NPCs that only serve a super specific role in the plot, only for them to never be mentioned again, though.
