Could Mallow's trousers be a parody on the corpulent Gaul Obelix from the French Asterix series? Same goes for Burt the Bashful (by the way, the last one is called Xilebo in German versions). --Grandy02 14:50, 29 April 2007 (EDT)

tadpole?
On the first page it said he is a tadpole!--mia90
It says he is "tadpole", which he belives until late in the story. pipe projects away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 17:28, 29 March 2012 (EDT)
The Jerk
The fact that he thinks he's a tadpole when it is clear he is not may be a reference to the film The Jerk. StarWolf (talk) 18:39, 9 May 2016 (EDT)
A Cloud in Trousers
There may be a connection with the poem "A Cloud in Trousers" ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Cloud_in_Trousers ), but aside from appearances, I don't think there is any other relation. Gomess 512 (talk) 10:32, 7 March 2017 (EST)
Infobox Render
Why are y'all so insistent in using the more boring render out of the two for the infobox when Geno gets the privilege of having the more dynamic pose for his infobox? Just because Mallow has his eyes closed? That's the stupidest reason ever. The render is based on his victory pose so of course they're gonna be closed! You guys are literally so arbitrary with your own rules. Annalisa10 (talk) 14:00, December 2, 2023 (EST)
:No need to be rude, consider there may be other reasons. In this case, looking more as he does in standard conditions. (Note I personally don't really care either way.) Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 14:06, December 2, 2023 (EST)
::Annalisa10 is frustrated, so I'm going to try to be patient and explain. I assume this is a similar case to Daisy's page where I think the closed eye detracts from illustrating the character. Like in Daisy's case, we have dynamic art from Mario Party Superstars (:File:MPS Daisy.png) but we elected to use less energetic art (:File:MPS Daisy Artwork 2.png) instead despite my personal objections to the unprofessional-looking posing of that one. I also am reminded of Bowser Jr. having an old render chosen over a new one because of the new one not posed good enough for an infoxbox. Geno should be changed back to the original art that referenced the game from the SNES in my opinion for consistency. 14:08, December 2, 2023 (EST)
:::I've elected against using the victory animation one because without me knowing that context that it's a victory pose, it looks like he's throwing a giant tantrum or screaming; the posing and facial expression just isn't the best way to introduce readers to him. Also, this standing pose is the same one used in the box for the game plus references the old art. 21:46, December 2, 2023 (EST)
