::He appears in the game via postcard (i.e. we have an object that he physically sent with his photo on it).  It would be similar to [[Grandma Mario]] appearing through another character.  He is not really implied as he is not merely referenced. -- {{User|Son of Suns}}

-::Oh yeah, in the Japanese version of ''Paper Mario'' he uses "ぼく" to refer to himself, and this is a male-only pronoun too.
