This is not exactly a big change but I still figured that I ought to make this a proposal due to this article's relative importance to the wiki. The power-up names in the table on this article are currently black (or white in the dark theme), the same color as regular page text on the wiki, and it makes it really hard to notice that they are links to begin with — for a moment, I genuinely thought that this article somehow didn't have links to the power-ups it lists. It also looks really ugly, in my opinion, next to the red links that some of the entries in this table currently possess and which have their regular red color.

#{{User|Camwoodstock}} To be honest, we don't even think you need to put this to proposal; at the very least, we wouldn't have questioned it without the proposal in question. Better clarity for the end-user is always nice.

{{@|Camwoodstock}} That's fair and I appreciate it, but I figured it's probably better to make a proposal rather than potentially step on the toes of someone who secretly felt that this was very important to the article's style. This is an old and well-traveled article on the wiki and it's had the same look since 2016, so I'd rather not make a change like this without the opportunity for someone to oppose it. {{User:Pseudo/sig}} 23:05, March 15, 2025 (EDT)
Not voting yet but commenting to say this is a site-wide issue. I think any table with "bold" cells recently started to get their links (blue or red alike) rendered in black instead. I consider myself a fairly web-literate person and I constantly have trouble figuring out "hidden" links because their text is rendered black or any other color ([[Mario Sports Superstars#Captain stats|can you tell only one of those is a link?]]) {{User:LadySophie17/sig}} 23:10, March 15, 2025 (EDT)
:Huh, strange. {{@|PopitTart}} said on Discord that the links do appear blue for them, both of us using default MonoBook. They're also black for me, like on desktop, in the Timeless stylesheet on my phone. There might be a more wide-reaching and user-specific problem than I realized here? This might be out of the scope of a talk page proposal. {{User:Pseudo/sig}} 23:14, March 15, 2025 (EDT)
::Upon further research, it seems that changing the background color of the power-up name cells on the table to #ABC (the light gray that these cells currently use) was the (perhaps retroactive) catalyst for the power-up names turning black, so it seems like making them black probably wasn't an intentional change to begin with, and almost certainly was caused by the site-wide issue that you describe, {{@|LadySophie17}}. I'll cancel this proposal and open a discussion on [[Talk:Main Page]] instead. Thanks for the heads up from everyone. {{User:Pseudo/sig}} 23:20, March 15, 2025 (EDT)
