| ==Platformers vs 3D games==
| |
| I think this split creates issues and inconsistencies in categorisation, as it is unclear if the distinction is made on gameplay or graphical style. 3D styled sidescrollers such as New Super Mario Bros are categorised as 3D, while the early Donkey Kong Country games are not, and after a point in time it seems that all games are listed as 3D by default, including Yoshi's island DS and Wario Land Shake It which are 2D in both gameplay and graphics. To maintain consistency, I suggest reordering with games sorted into either "Sidescroller" regardless of graphical style, then "3D Platformer" and "3D Action" for games with a 3D axis of movement but not so reliant on platforming, such as the Luigi's Mansion series. I would also suggest dissolving the "Bongos" genre as Jungle Beat could be categorised a sidescroller, and the Konga series would be more accurate described a "Rhythm" game, and should share this category with the dancing titles.

| :Thanks for pointing this out. The page still needs a lot of work, but I've moved all of the 2D platformers into the platformers section, leaving the three-dimensional section solely for games that take place in a three-dimensional plain. I have no idea why they were split like that in the first place, or why it was flat-out incorrect sometimes. --{{User:Waluigi Time/sig}} 12:47, May 28, 2020 (EDT)

| I just noticed neither of these games are on here.

| Maybe add a section for strategy games? {{unsigned|174.240.18.188}}
