Not every one. I just added tons and tons of missing games to the list of games organized by system. Lord Falafel (talk) 09:38, May 24, 2019 (EDT)

Game and Watch (Again)
The game and watches appear to be missing. Why? Apart from that, the list seems very short, and a short list of mario games needs a lot of work to become a complete list.
:Yep. I agree. Sign comments.
Mario Kart Wii
The Mario Kart Wii article has already been deleted. There is no confirmation whatsoever about this game. It is only because someone thought that each Nintendo console system has already a Mario Kart game, so why not the Wii, too? It is, basically, fanon. I'd say, remove it from the list. - 14:17, 14 June 2007 (EDT)
:Alright.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Isn't it said to be coming 2007? Or is it unofficial? 06:24, 17 June 2007 (EDT)
:Apparently, all games that are unreleased are put at the "Upcoming" header, regardless when they are released. Only released games are put in their corresponding year. - 06:26, 17 June 2007 (EDT)
::Yes, it is coming in 2007, but it hasn't been released yet. So it goes under upcoming.
Release Dates
The list uses the U.S. release dates, but I don't think that this is a good idea. It causes chronological errors, plus there are readers who aren't from the USA. I think always the original date should be used, regardless of region, it's the only consistent way because there is no region where all games had been released. What do you think? --Grandy02 13:33, 30 August 2007 (EDT)
:Yeah, we should use the date the game was released regardless of regions. - 14:30, 30 August 2007 (EDT)
Yep - we can even put multiple release dates based on region (although the first one listed should be the orinal release date regardless of region). -- Son of Suns
:I think every game should be only mentioned once, it gets cluttered if every game appears up to four times (Japan, USA, Europe, Australia). Anyway, using the original release dates, is that a done deal? --Grandy02 15:15, 31 August 2007 (EDT)
::Yep.  We could put other release dates in parantheses next to the original date, if you want. -- Son of Suns
:::I noticed that a lot of other articles also still use the American release, for example the Yoshi article says that his first appearance took place in 1991, but it was actually already in 1990 in Japan. --Grandy02 12:53, 22 September 2007 (EDT)
::::Feel free to make the appropriate changes.  Try to get as many release dates as possible though (as the Super Paper Mario article has done). -- Son of Suns
Someone rearranged games back to American dates (e.g. SMB3 in 1990 and SMW in 1991), though the site still tells that only the first release dates are used. I guess the user didn't read that sentence? --Grandy02 14:27, 17 April 2008 (EDT)
Other games
I found that, another list of all games with Mario on it. There are a lot of games in those that Mario just appeared in cameos, like the F1 Race or Alleway. Can be added to this list? [Source http://es.art.wikia.com/wiki/Lista_de_Juegos_de_Mario?useskin=monobook&save=true#1981]
Release Dates for Games
Do we really need them? They're already on the article for the certain game (ex: Click Super Mario 64 and the release date is shown in the template)  =\
List is messed up
It seems that the list has been messed up by some users. The article still tells that all releases are the first releases regardless of region, but the opposite is the case. In a lot of cases, the North American release date is used. :-( --Grandy02 07:19, 14 September 2008 (EDT)
:Yeah, and another thing about the dates that I had noticed from a while back, is that alot have them, and a lot don't. Should we keep adding until we're full, or simply remove the dates? In fact, I just saw somebody move Paper Mario from 2000 to 2001. This list needs some major fixing...
::I'd be happy to assist in fixing this list in anyway possible. --Palkia47 09:25, 14 September 2008 (EDT)
Are all those "Released on ..." needed? They were not even used consistently, and almost only referred to American dates. Anyway, I changed the page back to its former state (plus the new releases), as it should be (first release regardless of region). --Grandy02 10:02, 7 April 2009 (EDT)
There are some games that are completely in the wrong year or completely missing, for example Game & Watch Gallery 2 should be under 1998 not 1997, and Game Boy Gallery released in 1995 isn't even there.TheUltimateKoopa
:What year is wrong? G&WG2 was first released in Japan in 1997, so it is listed under that year (but now also in 1998 since the GBC version was released then). The games are listed by original release date, regardless of region. One region isn't more important than the other ones. The original Game Boy Gallery isn't there because not any Mario character appears in it, Mario and his name were removed from the only Mario-related game, (Mario's) Cement Factory. Otherwise, simply add a game if it is missing. --Grandy02 16:21, 22 January 2010 (EST)
::Sorry for the extremely late reply, but it's somewhat confusing, because the Game & Watch Gallery series (including the Game Boy Gallery) have different names in different countries. For example, Game & Watch Gallery 2 is known as Game Boy Gallery 2 in Japan, and Game Boy Gallery 3 in Australia. There was also a GWG2 in North America for the GB, AND GBC (known in Australia as Game Boy Gallery 2, AND Game Boy Gallery 3 respectively, I believe). It's REALLY confusing.--TheUltimateKoopa 17:42, 22 March 2010 (EDT)

Title
Should this remain at the title is was recently moved to? I find it rather inaccurate, as the article doesn't only cover the main Mario series, but also other Mario-related series.--vellidragon 17:49, 30 August 2010 (UTC)
:We cover all series, I agree with Vellidragon, this should be moved back to "List of Mario Games by Date". Marioguy1
I'm confused now. "Moving back as per discussion on talk page"; if that moving reason refers to this discussion, my point was that the page shouldn't be at "...Mario series games..." (which was the title at the point I wrote my comment) as it doesn't only cover the Mario series (but also Super Smash Bros. etc.). I can see what may have caused the confusion, though, as it had apparently been moved somewhere else a while after I made that statement.--vellidragon 16:00, 18 September 2010 (UTC)
I think it should be moved to List of games by date.--Knife 20:29, 18 September 2010 (UTC)
:List of Mario games by date is the same as List of Mario series games by date, so there would be no reason to move it to the other. List of games by date implies that it is a list of all games ever. I think it should be moved to List of Mario related games by date. == Change layout ==
Since Porplemontage is probably never talking to me again, I'm just going to randomly put this idea in the discussion board. I think we should change the layout of this list to have it look like the other 2 game lists, meaning having the games in boxes. Or 1 giant box. If someone finds this message, be sure it's someone on the staff who replies to it or someone who's not and would still give out the right answer. Lord Falafel (talk) 21:53, October 25, 2019 (EDT)
:The whole point of this list is to list all the games but in the order they were released, so I don't think boxes would really be necessary here. Reorganizing the order would just defeat the whole purpose of this page and eventually make a clone of the list of games. 22:53, October 25, 2019 (EDT)
::Per OMF. This suggested change is completely unnecessary and would simply defeat the point of the list of games by date. 23:00, October 25, 2019 (EDT)
Ok. Cuz even if we made it look like the list of game appearances section on Mario's page, it'd be easier to add content. But I guess you're right about not cloning it. Lord Falafel (talk) 00:49, October 26, 2019 (EDT)
Specific date for each game
In my opinion we should also add day and month for each game. It would help making the list fulfil its purpose. SantiOzzy (talk)
:I guess... 09:58, September 2, 2020 (EDT)

Three more flash games I found.
I recently downloaded Flashpoint to continue playing flash games, and while browsing, I found three flash games that were officially developed by Nintendo. The first one was made for the release of Mario Party 4, and actually plays like a Mario Party game. It's even on Speedrun.com. The second game is Mario Trivia, a short trivia game featuring 3 sets of 10 questions, each with different difficulty. I can also say that the earliest this game was published was 2010, because one of the questions mentions the Super Mario Bros. 25th anniversary, which was in 2010. the final game is called Mario Party 7 Bon Voyage quiz. As you can guess, it is a short trivia game themed around Mario Party 7. It has 5 questions, which you have to get right to win. I thought I should bring these games to the wiki's attention, seeing as how I can't find them anywhere on the wiki itself. --JacobH.5840 (talk) 17:27, March 17, 2021 (EDT)

Yeah. I used Flashpoint, which is an archive of nearly 70,000 flash games and 8,000 flash animations. I downloaded it back when Flash's EOL date was coming closer. Once it's done downloading and you have it open, you will see a search bar at the top. To find the games, search "Mario Party 4," "Mario Trivia," and "Mario Party 7." Those will show you each of the games I mentioned.--JacobH.5840 (talk) 18:30, March 19, 2021 (EDT)

Change table of years
Hello, I think it would be a better idea if the table of years at the top and bottom of this article were changed so that each row was a decade, with everything being lined up as seen in the example table below (obviously it shouldn't be a table but rather just lines of each year):
{| class="wikitable"
|+ Games by year
|-
|      || 1981 || 1982 || 1983 || 1984 || 1985 || 1986 || 1987 || 1988 || 1989
|-
| 1990 || 1991 || 1992 || 1993 || 1994 || 1995 || 1996 || 1997 || 1998 || 1999
|-
| 2000 || 2001 || 2002 || 2003 || 2004 || 2005 || 2006 || 2007 || 2008 || 2009
|-
| 2010 || 2011 || 2012 || 2013 || 2014 || 2015 || 2016 || 2017 || 2018 || 2019
|-
| 2020 || 2021 || 2022 || 2023 || 2024

However I am not sure how to do this without using a table as the 1980s row will not be aligned properly.--Nintendo85 (talk) 00:29, June 1, 2024 (EDT)
Would be much helpful if this article listed the specific day a game is released on
There was a discussion above. Regional release dates, if we can even squeeze those in, would also be helpful. But while this page is useful for all the chronology this wiki demands, from history sections to gallery, it really needs the day and month information especially when you're trying to match up the dates with non-game works like publications and movie releases. It also will help to also verify the chronology of this list, see if it's actually in correct order. A table here will work pretty well IMO. 15:47, August 3, 2024 (EDT)
Personally I think they don't need to be included, but if they were it should be the earliest date (in most cases, the japanese release date) in a small mm/dd format. --Sprited64  September 15, 2024 (EST)
Limits?
This list is missing a lot of games, depending on what you consider a video game. List of games goes as far as saying that screenless roulette machines, vending machines, tabletop pinball games and even <b>water</b> games count as video games. I would add those since they are on the list after all, but everywhere else on this wiki doesn't seem to mention them anywhere. Such as the "List of appearances" sections on character pages not mentioning them. So am I allowed to add those to the list? Rykitu (talk) November 17th, 2024
