How come some guest appearances are listed in this page while some guest appearances aren't?  One of these two things should be changed for consistency sake imo.  The only reason I'm not changing anything myself is that I don't know exactly which of these things should be changed according to policy.

Another minor Banpresto update
Recently I decided to continue my Banpresto research that I started around the time I joined this wiki. And while I don't have as much updates that I did last time, this is by far the most interesting arcade game I have found so far. That being Wario Busters, released in 1994 according to the website I found. The game is very similar to Koopa Taiji where you throw projectiles and aim for Bowser's mouth. Except this time it's a giant Wario head's mouth! The game seems to be themed after Mario & Wario with the games logo being shown on the sign and even Wanda is there. That is pretty much all I could find on this machine (like the other ones I found). The website I found this on seems to be created by the same person who had names for the Yoshi machines and Mario Medal Island. And just like those, and all of the other machines I found, all I could find for these machines were from magazines, and we don't know if these were ever released. But I will keep updating if I do find actual footage or an image of these machines out in the wild, or any new ones I find. Here is the website I found it on: https://thetastates.com/eremeka/eremekaDisplay.php?search=yes&nameSearch=Wario&yearLow=&yearHigh=&tag=&company=
Move the computer version of Donkey Konga 2 to the "Windows" section
settled TPP
passed
As I said in an earlier proposal regarding similar games, this version of Donkey Konga 2 was a computer application developed in Macromedia Flash, not a traditional .SWF-based Adobe Flash game. Because of this, like NES Classics, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, and Mario Power Tennis - Hammer Power before it, I believe this game should be moved over to the "Windows" section, as opposed to remaining in the Adobe Flash section.

Deciding the fate of the "lost" Mario arcade machines
This one is going to require a lot of explaining so bear with me here.
If you've been on this wiki for long enough, you may have heard of these extremely obscure Mario arcade machines that were only released in Japan by various companies such as Banpresto, Konami and Sunwise. These games include:
*Mario Roulette
*Piccadilly Circus: Super Mario Bros. 3
*Mario World (slot machine)
*Terebi Denwa: Super Mario World
*Super Mario World Popcorn
*Pika Pika Mario
*Janken Fukubiki: Super Mario World
*Koopa Taiji
*Būbū Mario
*Mario Undōkai
*Super Mario Kart: Doki Doki Race
*Super Donkey Kong 2 Swanky no Bonus Slot
*Super Mario Attack
*Super Mario Bros. 3 (Mini Piccadilly)
*Super Mario World (Mini Piccadilly)
*Guru Guru Mario
*Dokidoki Mario Chance!
All of these games have their spot on this list of games. However, ever since the discoveries of most of these machines 10 years ago thanks to Borp on the Mario Boards, more have since been discovered to exist. And more information on the found ones were discovered. Before joining the Super Mario Wiki, I was heavily researching these machines and I managed to find more that for people on this wiki didn't know even existed. Not wanting to hoard this information, I created an account and made some discussions here regarding my findings. These new machines I found include:
*Mario no Daibouken (not to be confused with the VHS tape of the same name)
*Super Mario World balloon vending machine
*Go! Go! Mario Circuit
*Can Can Club Super Mario Yoshi's Island
*Mazukar Seven Super Mario Yoshi's Island
*Yoshi's Island themed rock-paper-scissors machine
*Yoshi's Island themed machine
*Donkey Kong Country themed roulette machine
*Mario Medal Island
*Wario Busters
If you want more information on these, you can read the sections on this talk page: "Found some extremely obscure Banpresto arcade games", "Update on Banpresto findings" and "Another minor Banpresto update". And if you're just as confused as me, you can comment a question and I will probably answer it.
The one problem with all of these is that not a single image of them exists in the wild. The only images and evidence that exist are in magazines. However, there is a chance they did release but no images exist at the moment. This is possible due to the scarcity of the info on these machines, and Guru Guru Mario's only evidence of existence is a now deleted Twitter post with anime girls. But I do feel like they deserve at least some representation on this wiki, so I want you all to vote on where these should go.
*<b>Put them on List of games</b> even though they have not been seen in the wild.
*<b>Put them on List of unreleased media</b> even though there's a chance they did release.
*<b>Keep on this talk page</b> if you think the other options are too speculative.
TL:DR (Although I encourage you to read the whole thing): I found the existence of several Mario arcade machines exclusive to Japan, but they're only in magazines and have not been seen in the wild.

Put them on List of games!
#Camwoodstock They released, ergo, they belong on the main list. Being incredibly obscure or lost media doesn't count as "unreleasing", that's not how that works. Simple-as.
#Nelsonic Per Camwoodstock.
#Rykitu I wouldn't mind this option. I just think that it's kind of a stretch.
#Jdtendo Maybe we should have a "List of media whose existence is unconfirmed", but in the meantime, it makes more sense to me to put them in the main List of games than putting in the List of unreleased media despite having no evidence that they actually are unreleased.
#ThePowerPlayer Per Camwoodstock.
#Kieran376 Per Camwoodstock.
Put them on List of unreleased media!
#Rykitu This is the possibility I find the most likely to have happened.
Keep on this talk page!
Comments!? (I need to know the differences between the Yoshi machines)
We don't know if they released. The only images available are from magazines, so there is a chance they never released.
A location for the water games, pocket pinball machines, Water Teaser, and other similar items
Settled TPP
failed
I understand the fact that these are not video games in the sense that they do not feature any electronic elements, though I think they deserve their own spot somewhere outside of the list of merchandise. I have an idea as to where these should be placed. I believe a list of games without electronic elements (or something along the lines of that) should be created, giving each of these games a spot if they must be split. However, I would understand placing these on the list of merchandise, as long as they retain their pages/full coverage. I do think the larger pinball machines/the pinball machines that have electronic elements to keep score/arcade slot or roulette machines should remain on this list, due to electronic components and size. I also think that there is an argument to be made for the electronic water games being games, in the sense that they are products released by Nintendo with the intention of being played by consumers, so I believe that these games should remain on this list (though if they cannot, I would like them to move to their own list).

Split to the new list, keep pinball machines here
#Nelsonic Secondary opinion. Per proposal.
Split to the new list, move pinball machines
Move to the list of merchandise, keep full coverage
#Nelsonic Not my preferred option, but this also works.
Move to the list of merchandise, don't keep full coverage
Keep on the list of games (current position)
#Nelsonic Main choice.
#Camwoodstock We don't see the need to split these, frankly. The Game & Watch games and standard Pinball tables have been on this list for forever while neither of those qualify for "video games" in the traditional sense, and have been entirely unquestioned in their position here. In addition, while definitely far more literal, the page title is list of games. Not list of video games, just games overall. Splitting off these games in specific feels a tad overkill, especially since, if we did split these off for not being "ordinary video games", well, what do we do about the Game & Watches, Pinball tables, or more mechanical arcade machines? Do they follow suit? Do they stay here out of the grandfather clause? The alternatives here do not really appeal to us, we don't think.
#Kaptain Skurvy Per Camwoodstock — and besides, it's not worth the hassle removing games because they aren't "game" enough.
#Rykitu Per all.
#ThePowerPlayer Games are games.
#EvieMaybe what is a game? a miserable little pile of parts. but enough talk... per all!
Keep pages, but list them only in the templates for the games they were made to promote
What do we do with board games and card games? Are they not games as well?--Platform (talk) 23:15, April 4, 2025 (EDT)
:Honestly, now that you mention it, we'd be fine to add board games and card games to this list. As it stands, the way we handle those is very arbitrary, and codifying them as being "games" for the sake of our coverage would have basically no downside we can think of. 23:58, April 4, 2025 (EDT)
::Mario Party-e is mostly a board game and it's on here so I think it makes sense too as crazy as it sounds.
I'm not a fan of these franchise-spanning lists we put at the top of the front page. They're needlessly comprehensive to the point of not being helpful or convenient. I think it's better to partition them into smaller lists like list of LCD and VFD games, list of characters introduced in TV and films, list of locations introduced in publications, etc. Should we make a proposal for this?--Platform (talk) 09:10, April 5, 2025 (EDT)
:We would not particularly enjoy this. These lists would all be far smaller than their "standard game" counterparts, and none of the lists are long enough to warrant a split in the first place; even if we did want to split them, we would likely go by decade, rather than by an arbitrary subcategory of mediums. A "list of locations introduced in publications" would likely only be a dozen or so entries, the majority of which being from those choose your own adventure books, and that's if we're being generous. 12:24, April 5, 2025 (EDT)
