Can someone please do the ''[[Super Paper Mario]]'' characters. I haven't played the game, and I don't want to spoil it for me, so can someone do that section. That and the ''[[Mario Party Advance]]'' section. Thank You. {{User:Pokemon DP/sig}}

What is this list supposed to be showing? A character's first appearance based on the game, correct? So... why are there enemies like [[Tatanga]] listed, and certain characters, like [[Toad]], are misplaced. Are we listing enemies too? ==Move to "List of characters by media".==
So with [[List of locations]], it has a page similar to it called [[List of locations by media]], which is the same thing except it is categorized by media in order of release. This page is similar to that except it's for characters and it only lists games, not the TV shows, films, publications, albums and whatever else. Which is fine, but then there's [[List of enemies by game]] which actually makes sense because if something gets classified as an enemy, it needs to come from a game unless it's modern incarnation gets turned into one. So should this get the same treatment as [[List of locations by media]] and include other forms of media? Not just games?

==Expanding and renaming==

Following on from the above section, I figured I should make this a proposal. This page is a list of characters by their first appearance, but for some reason, it only includes game characters, unlike the alphabetical [[list of characters]]. I can't really think of a reason to keep it like this, so I'm proposing we rename the page to "List of characters by first appearance" and expand the scope to cover non-game media as well.

If this proposal passes, [[List of locations by media]], [[List of enemies by game]], [[List of moves by game]], and [[List of playable characters by game]] will also be renamed to "List of locations/enemies/moves/playable characters by first appearance" for consistency. However, the scope of these four pages will ''not'' change, as the location list already covers non-game media and the other three make sense to keep limited to games. The [[List of characters by game]] is the only page that will have more than just its name changed by this proposal.

I do think there's a distinction between "list of characters by first appearance" and "list of characters in order of introduction", and this article is the former.
