I also only have the N64 version but all glitches on N64 would also work on Wii because it's a direct emulation with only a few changes, and they do not include glitch fixes. -MarioManiac164

Rainbow Road shortcut
The Rainbow Road glitch isn't a glitch, it's a shortcut. Why is it listed here?
Where's the Bad A.I. in Bowser Castle glitch?
I wonder why it's not there... Maybe nobody knows it in this Wiki?

Lack of music in 3 and 4-player modes
Actually, the lack of music being played on a racecourse or battle stage in 3 or 4 player modes isn't really a glitch. It was actually a limitation in the game, and Diddy Kong Racing was the same way. --PrincessDaisyFanatic3883 (talk) 02:41, 6 February 2015 (EST)
Starting Glitch (NEW GLITCH)
There is a glitch that occurs at the start of a race. This glitch can occur on any track. At the starting line when Lakitu appears try to get a starting boost but also try to blowout. if done correctly your character will go in to the blowout animation but have a boost. the character will still have to wait for the blowout to be over but it looks pretty cool. I have looked all over the Internet and haven't seen anything like it. So far I have played only on an Emulator, but it should work on a console. I'm thinking of calling it the Perfect Blowout, and I have gotten it to work a hand full of times, I'm pretty sure it's frame perfect so good luck. if I post a video of the glitch I will leave a link in my next comment. Good luck attempting this glitch.
More references
This article needs references to prove if these glitches actually work. 16:36, 9 August 2016 (EDT)
2nd/5th place icon graphic glitch
This glitch only happens inside certain emulators and/or video plugins, it does not happen on a real N64. Simply, the sprite for the "5" is not being flipped to make a "2". Heihachi 73 (talk) 13:10, 11 February 2018 (EST)
Easter Egg
I'm pretty sure the "Alternate Results Theme" glitch is actually an easter egg, considering the game is Mario Kart 64 and it has to loop 64 times. 98.245.161.188 10:51, 7 March 2018 (EST)
:Doesn't seem like a glitch to me either. The IP makes a good point. And where does the alternate track come from if it's a glitch?

::Never actually heard the track myself, so I went to look it up and it certainly doesn't sound like a glitch. There are additional instruments and the quality isn't choppy like most music glitches. Agreed this isn't a glitch, but what would be a good place for this information? Mario Kart 64 trivia? EDIT: Oh, btw, this is the music. 11:01, 7 March 2018 (EST)
