Should this be rewritten or should we create a page for each formula of the "Last Five Turns Event" of the Mario Party series, because the name of the article and the above text make no mentioned of all the formula that appear in the Mario Party series (there is Chump Charity, Almost There!-Homestretch!, Final 5 Frenzy! and Last Four Turns Event). I found this a little ambiguous.--  23:51, 22 January 2016 (EST)

:I don't see the issue with this page at all. The events included in this page function similarly, which is a good enough reason to me to keep the page as it is. 08:10, 23 January 2016 (EST)

See above discussion. The "Almost There!"/"Homestretch!" event from Mario Party 9 and Mario Party 10 is distinct in that it's triggered differently. It also appears to deviate from the actual subject of the article, which strictly appears to be about what happens during the fifth-to-last turn in a standard Mario Party game.

#Somethingone While MP9 and MP10 do have distinct overall gameplay mechanics(meaning that homestretch's activation difference isn't that big), I still think it should be split due to the deviation point Toadette the Archivist mentioned above. Per proposal's second point.

Re-Merge Homestretch! to this Page?
Now that the Last 5 Turns Event has officially been renamed "Homestretch" in Jamboree, it seems a bit counter-intuitive that this page contains information on a "Homestretch" and then there's another page on the wiki named "Homestretch!" After all, while the above proposal was stringent for this page to cover the "event that occurs in the 5th-to-last turn", looking at the more modern games, we see this event covering all sorts of trigger conditions: Last 4 Turns (7), almost-Last 2 turns (10 amiibo Party), Last 3 Turns (Star Rush and Super), and when the last boss appears (Star Rush). I think we can all agree that a broader definition of the "event that occurs nearing the end of the game" perfectly describes all the Last 5 Turns Events on this page as well as the Homestretch! events from 9 and 10. Whether we should rename this page to "Homestretch" or not is a different matter, but seeing two different pages covering the topic of "Homestretch" when the topics are basically the same in concept, trigger, and result just doesn't seem right to me. (I would start a proposal but I'm not familiar with setting one up.) MarioComix (talk) 19:07, January 12, 2025 (EST)
:Honestly, yeah, just having the article cover the overall "Game is almost over" event from Mario Party as a whole sounds better. The above proposal had more merit before the last 5 turn event was given the Homestretch title in Jamboree.
