Claim that Bob-ombs were replaced
Article states that the black bob-ombs fought in the Fortress were replacements supplied by Bowser; does it say this anywhere in game? 86.7.223.84
First appearence
So the infobox says the first appearence is in the Super Mario Kun nine years before Paper Mario, yet this article mainly covers their Paper Mario appearence. I feel like their first appearence in the infobox should be changed to Paper Mario for two reasons:
*Manga appearences normally aren't noted in infoboxes or appearence lists (besides in History)
*I seriously doubt the Koopa Bros. in Paper Mario are even the same set of characters as the ones in the Super Mario Kun, since like I said it was nine years before and the article is about their Paper Mario appearence.
What do you guys think? I'm going to bed now but will catch up on this in the morning. Mario Sakuraba (talk) 21:34, November 13, 2019 (EST)
:There was a discussion about this somewhere, I forget where, and it was determined that the SMK ones from before were an unrelated, more direct parody of the TMNT. I'm surprised that hasn't been changed back yet. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 21:38, November 13, 2019 (EST)
:To be clear, we do count other media neutrally (part of why the Mario series article was inclusively renamed to the Mario franchise), but unless there's an interview statement saying that the Koopa Bros. were taken from Super Mario Kun, agreed with Doc. == Nash T.? ==
I remember playing the game several times and have never come across this. source? I've seen tattles for their Toad disguises, enemy tattles, and the bulletin board where Nash T. is mentioned. but no where do I remember Nash T. being said to be the Koopa Bros. not even in the letter they send to mario. now i'm not saying they're not, I'm just asking for a source, as that should probably be mentioned where it's stated in the article.Pikmin theories (talk) 03:10, July 11, 2020 (EDT)
:When Merlon approaches the disguised "Nash T."s, he strikes them with lightning, revealing their forms as the Koopa Bros. 03:22, July 11, 2020 (EDT)
::That's not what he's asking? What he's saying is that this is claiming that "Nash T." is the name of the disguised one, when no actual link between that name and the Koopa Bros. seems to exist. This has bothered me too. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 03:39, July 11, 2020 (EDT)
:::If you speak to a nearby Toad right after Merlon exposes the Koopa Bros, he says the name "Nash T." when referring to them.
::::I've never seen this in any of my many playthroughs of the game. Can I get a quote? Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 04:57, September 15, 2020 (EDT)
:::::It goes something like this:

::::::Hm, strange. I always talk to everybody. I do kinda wonder what the deal with the sign is, then...maybe some clues in the JP script? Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 05:06, September 15, 2020 (EDT)
::::::I searched on this playthrough, and I couldn't find the line in-game, though I did see it in a text dump. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 19:56, October 6, 2021 (EDT)
:::::::I definitely saw it myself in the game, it's only available for a very short timeframe though. 21:07, October 6, 2021 (EDT)
Later in the game while you're going through Flower Fields if you check the back of the sign in Toad Town it says "Mr. Nash T. and his gang rule the streets... Nobody is safe from us. NOBODY!!!!" I'manumber1 (talk) 22:35, February 17, 2022 (EST)
:I'm aware of that, and it is the only time I've seen the name in-game myself, but literally nothing about that statement points to it being in reference to the Koopa Bros, which is why I was surprised the name redirected here rather than the implied character list. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 01:09, February 18, 2022 (EST)
For future reference, here is footage of the line in-game. -- 14:02, October 29, 2022 (EDT)
Unmerge
Should I undo the merge? Because it looks like Sir Grodus wasn't supposed to merge them. I'manumber1 (talk) 18:33, October 6, 2021 (EDT)
:If it's the individual members you're talking about, then I think these should stay merged since the articles would just be repetative. It looks like it was decided from a proposal, so another is required. 21:19, October 6, 2021 (EDT)
