| It's been 12 years since the last comment. Anyway, I was thinking of moving the page to Klap Trap -- there are already more in-game references to the title "Klap Trap". This includes the DKC "Kredits", DKC GBA cast roll (the earlier SNES one uses the "Klaptrap" name), Melee trophy, the instruction booklet for SNES/GBC/GBA versions of Donkey Kong Country. A title more closely related to Klap Trap ("Klap-Traps") is used in the DKC player's guide. Also, Klap Trap is spelled Klap Trap in the cancelled 2003 Diddy Kong Pilot, before it became Banjo-Pilot.Source (excuse the poor quality -- i rushed taking the photo) I think this probably suits the MarioWiki:Naming policy. However, from watching this video, Klap Trap is called "Klaptrap" in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. So, what do you guys think? | :The latest mention of Klaptraps is in Smash Ultimate, and they seem to call them "Klaptraps" in that game. Since that's the latest appearance of Klaptraps, I think the name should stay "Klaptrap" and not "Klap Trap". (Edit: I hadn't noticed you already mentionned Smash Ultimate, whoops :p) --Metalex123 (talk) 00:02, June 14, 2019 (EDT)

| ::Most of the references are from the first Donkey Kong Country, so... sheesh, they couldn't keep a consistent name, could they? Even if we disregard the Smash series, the most recent source of a name we have, being Donkey Kong 64, calls them "Klaptrap". 00:11, June 14, 2019 (EDT)

| :::Technically it'd be DKC GBA.... Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 14:18, June 14, 2019 (EDT)

| I feel like it would make more sense to use the Mario Party 7 model as the image, as it's the latest appearance besides Super Smash Bros. and i'm pretty sure the rules say not to use Smash Bros. renders unless absolutely necessary. But I might be wrong and misthinking another rule from another wiki. 97.83.0.167

| :Using Smash artwork is fine; infoboxes should use the latest available artwork as long as it doesn't have elements specific to a certain game like a kart, tennis racket etc. 05:20, December 5, 2022 (EST)
