I recently got contact with Kenny James and interview him in order to expand his page. He was really nice and accepted it. 

<blockquote><b>- What is your date of birth? (You don't have to reveal your age if you prefer.)</b><br>I'm 52.<p>

<b>- Where were you born?</b><br>Born in Nevada and grew up in Texas.</p>

<b>- What was your life throughout school like? Would you classify yourself in a group? What sort of activities were you into?</b><br>I was a class clown.  Never really cared much for sports.  I was one of the laid back kids.<p>

<b>- You are an actor right?</b><br>I've been very active in community theater for 10 years.  Before that I used to be lead singer in several bands.</p>

<b>- Was that something what you always wanted to do? Do you remember the exact year you started?</b><br>I always thought that acting would be fun.  I started acting in February 2010.  I probably starting singing in 1988.<p>

<b>- How did you got into voice over?</b><br>I got the idea to start voice over in 2001.  Never really worked on it until a few years later.  One of the first auditions I got was for Bowser.  I took a shot, and got the part.</p>

<b>- Do you remember that first game you started voicing Bowser?</b><br>The first game that was released with my voice was Super Mario Strikers for the Game Cube.<p>

<b>- Is it true you did an additional voice in the game like the Super Team (the robots)?</b><br>If I did it was done by Nintendo.  The sessions are a buy out and they use the recordings as they see fit.  All of the titles I have credit for were done from 3 recording sessions.</p>

<b>- Are you a fan of video games, or do you even or ever play them?</b><br>Yes I have been a fan of video games since Pong.  In fact, when you contacted me I was playing Star Wars Battlefront.  And Hitman.<p>

<b>- Is there anything you tend to say/do a lot when portraying Bowser?</b><br>When performing Bowser in the studio I tend to make claw hands.  Somehow it helps me sound like a monster!</p>

<b>- What do you like about Bowser?</b><br>I like that he behaves like a spoiled child.  He has to have his way.<p>

<b>- Asides Bowser, is there anything voice over you done for video games or non-video games?</b><br>I have voiced a few characters for two different online Dr. Who audio series.  Also, I have a four audio books on Audible.com.  I currently audition for just about any voice work.</p>

<b>- Have you ever hear or met [[Charles Martinet]] (Mario's voice) as well as other character voice actors living in Washington?</b><br>Actually, I met Charles at Bad Animals studios during the session for Bowser's Inside Story.  We sat in the lounge during lunch.  He' s very nice.  He flew from California to Seattle to record.<p>

<b>- Anyone besides him you know, like [[Samantha Kelly]] (Princess Peach's voice)?</b><br>I did meet Samantha briefly during the same session.  And the producer that I worked with has done some of the character sounds.</p>

<b>- Is [[:File:Samantha Kelly.jpg|this]] what she looks like?</b><br>She looks familiar.  We only met in the hall at the studio.<p>

<b>- Do you play Nintendo games, are you a fan, what are your favorites from them?</b><br>My first Nintendo games were Super Mario Bros and Duck Hunt.  Then I really liked playing the games on the Super NES.  My favorite on the Wii is [[Mario Kart Wii]].  I have to admit I haven't played 3D World.  I'd love to see how the Cat Bowser turned out.  During recording we called him [[Meowser]].</p>

<b>- Do you have work outside of acting?</b><br>Yes.  I work for a propane company as a service technician.<p>

<b>- What do you like to do outside of work?</b><br>I like to play games, watch TV and act in community theater.  I'm currently cast in The Musical of Musicals (The Musical). I also like to cook.  I'm a pretty good home chef.</p>

<b>- Do you happen to have a headshot, we can add to the wiki's article, with your permission. To be honest, i really don't where the current one came from.</b><br>If it is the picture of me with really long hair, that one is from about 2001.  I took it with a Web cam.  Funny.  I don't use headshots, but I can probably find you something to use.<p>

Didn't Kenny James voice Bowser in Mario Party 7. According to [[Bowser]]'s article it says he voiced him in 2005 and I only heard a similar voice in Mario Party 7. If this is true could I add it to the voice list. {{User:The RPG Gamer/sig}} 16:06, 5 October 2016 (EDT)

Bringing this topic back: he's been credited as "Kenny James" for years now and I think this should be moved back (afaik the only games where he's credited as "Kenneth W. James" are the ''Galaxy'' games). Pages for real-life people don't generally use full names for titles anyway, it's always their commonly used names or stage names. {{User:Mario jc/sig}} 04:15, January 17, 2025 (EST)
