| Hello there,
| |
|
| |
| why is the translation of 女神がきすをした actually a 'Godly kiss'? It actually says: 'The goddess kissed':
| |
|
| |
| 女神(Goddess)が(particle)キス(Kiss)を(Particle, direct object)した(-ed)
| |
|
| |
| I guess you'd say something like this if you wanted to mean a deity kiss or a godly kiss... 敬虔[な]キス
| |
|
| |
| Whether it makes sense or not, the translation doesn't seem to me like "a godly kiss" at all.

| Hello. There is a full Japanese version of Jump Up, Super Star! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EUBOUSgvKE4 DeriLoko2

| |
| Songwriter Aimi Mukohara provided some inside information about the recording of Jump Up, Super Star in Japnese, here's an extract:
| |
| [...] Actually Kate’s version was recorded before mine, and the demo was sung by Japanese singer-songwriter who I happen to be my friend, this is not mentioned by Nintendo, I heard from my friend.
| |
| So that was not me. So one of the members in the sound team was looking for a singer and there were some candidates. They listened to my YouTube videos that are my originals and liked my voice. So I went into the studio for recording audition and got the offer afterwards. I had people from Nintendo Sound Team, engineer, some other people and my vocal director(used to be my vocal coach) in the studio and recorded “Jump Up, Super Star!”. Then I also recorded “Break Free” a few weeks later.
| |
| This was my first working experience with game company but Nitendo team was really nice, passionate and patient - amazing team. I’d work with them anytime if I had another chance. [...]

| - Aimi Mukohara
| |
|
| |
| She also sent me a fixed version of the lyrics.

| His page is either protected or semi-protected, so I can’t add them but there are multiple references that don’t have links. The line about wacky worlds is almost definitely a reference to Super Mario’s Wacky Worlds and the line about flipping the switch is probably referring to the Nintendo Switch. Also, the line about moving side to side is almost definitely referencing 2D Mario games, but I don’t know what would be a suitable link for that. | :This article is semi-protected, though previous edits adding those links have been removed, as nothing has officially confirmed that those are what the intended references were. -- 17:42, 24 October 2018 (EDT)
| |
| ::I'd go out on a limb and say that the former is almost certainly not a reference, as it's so obscenely obscure, and the latter just seems too tenuous. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 18:42, 24 October 2018 (EDT)

| :"Wacky world" simply describes the world seen in the game, due to the many characteristic places that Mario visits during the adventure. In a moment, Mario is in a realistic city; in another, in a low poly volcanic region where there are giant vegetables.<br>--PhGuy12 (talk) 20:10, 24 October 2018 (EDT)

| ::Actually, the "flipping the switch" part might actually be referencing as to how the New Donk City Power Plant gets restored shortly before the Traditional Festival section. – Owencrazyboy9 (talk) 20:14, 24 October 2018 (EDT)
