| Maybe a completely stupid question, but in the game, it's never explicitly stated if he/she's a boy or a girl... And in the French version, [http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xqjfib Jojora says]: "Je suis l''''ami''' de la famille descendante de l'Esprit saint qui gardait ce temple" ("I am the friend of the descending family of the sacred Spirit who guarded this temple"). It would mean that this character actually is a guy; the word "ami" should be "amie" if Jojora were female. {{unsigned|178.197.233.98}}

| :I know this is nearly a year old, but for reference, Jojora is referred as male exactly once in the Nintendo Power guide ("''If you successfully counterattack Jojora and knock away his wand, he’ll leave the battle for a while, allowing you to focus on his friend.''" - pg. 107). However, Jojora is referred as female much more consistently in the Prima Games guide (pgs. 105-106 & 111-112).
