#Camwoodstock To be honest, the state of the YWW section as a whole leaves a lot to be desired; it's half discussing actual, literal ice blocks in the level terrain, and half describing these faced block enemies that sometimes roll around Tox Box style, sometimes shift around, and sometimes aren't even ice as the comments pointed out, and does a pretty poor job of describing both of them... While still somehow taking up 8 whole paragraphs (9 if we count one that is a single sentence!) This is long overdue for a split-and-trim.
<s>#Arend Secondary option. To be fair, similar things such as Tox Boxes are also considered enemies despite their faces also being static.</s>

#Arend Aside from the fact that we have no official name of this thing (yet), I think we might as well create an article of these, as well as their non-icy, sliding cousins from the Duplicitous Delve level. I'm picking this as my primary option because the faces on both the ice blocks and the sliding blocks seem way too static to imply they're live creatures (really, only their button eyes shake a little when they land or bump into something), and the Scrapbook Theater makes no mention on any of the blocks, either.

The enemy/obstacle aspect can be slightly sidestepped if a more unique name is used, as it's generally better for conjecturally-named articles to avoid identifiers where possible. LinkTheLefty (talk) 14:40, March 8, 2025 (EST)

:::I'm not familiar enough with the format used in Woolly World. Last I checked, it looked too utilitarian to be usable. LinkTheLefty (talk) 14:50, March 8, 2025 (EST)
::Question: WHERE does the "Ice Block" name come from? as I mentioned on the YWW talk, this obstacle is not featured in Scrapbook Theater, so it cannot come from there. Also, as Salmencer mentioned in the section above, there does exist a non-icy, non-rolling version of this block in the colors blue, and later red, in Duplicitous Delve; wouldn't the ice block be a variant of these ones that are better covered in such a page like that, or at the very least mention it is a rolling variant of these red-or-blue sliding blocks? 15:40, March 8, 2025 (EST)
:::These blocks should also have their own articles, however, although they are similar, you only have to see the examples I showed you to know that these are made of ice, and yes, they should be variants. The name is mentioned, I think, in the Japanese guide of the game, but I can't find it.--Sorbetti (talk) 15:48, March 8, 2025 (EST)
::::If you ask me, the blue and red variants function more as platforms than enemies, however the ice ones are used as enemies following the same pattern as tox boxes, and for everything explained above--Sorbetti (talk) 15:53, March 8, 2025 (EST)
:::::Lastly, though perhaps not very important, those Delve Duplicios blocks do not have the shaking that the 5-8 Ice Blocks have.--Sorbetti (talk) 15:59, March 8, 2025 (EST)
::::At least there's a lead; if someone can track down that guide (and confirm it's officially licensed), and confirm the name of the ice blocks, then we should be golden. Also yeah, I know they're different-looking, I've did some research on the ice blocks when we discussed this matter on the YWW page; I've been asking since Salmencer suggested this in the section above. Besides, the Cascading Stone similarly has a sliding variant known as Sliding Stone in Yoshi's Island DS, which is covered on the same page as well (although in that case, the stone blocks appear identical). Also, the fact that their static faces are still identical corroborates to my statement that the ice blocks are obstacles (and so are the sliding blocks; there are points where Yoshi could get squashed inbetween two of them (and yes, their eye buttons DO shake in the exact same manner as the ice blocks' eyes when they collide (which, again, does NOT indicate they're alive: it's just the impact from the ice blocks landing and rolling); look closely at the footage of the video I linked)). 16:02, March 8, 2025 (EST)
:::::You got the wrong shaking, both blocks move their eyes, the blue and red ones when they hit something, and the ice ones when they move, however the shaking I am referring to is this oneSorbetti (talk) 16:11, March 8, 2025 (EST)
::::::The ice blocks still appear to only move their eyes when they land after rolling (although less so when landing on their sides). Aside from that, the only movement I can see is the lighting on their eyes changing as they roll, but that's not an indication they're alive either, that's just light being realistic. 16:29, March 8, 2025 (EST)
:::::::look closely, is when they fall from very high placesSorbetti (talk) 16:37, March 8, 2025 (EST)
:::::::I think both are alive, only one has the characteristics of a platform/obstacle, while the ice one acts and attacks like an enemy.<br>I wish I could see the Japanese Guide--Sorbetti (talk) 16:31, March 8, 2025 (EST)
::::::::Let's agree to disagree for now. After all, this proposal isn't about determining whether the ice blocks are obstacles or enemies.<br>As for guides, when I look for a particular guide, I try to search of it on Archive.org, whether someone has uploaded it (that's how I found this Shogakukan guide for Yoshi's Island); but I got no dice for Woolly World, unfortunately. 16:40, March 8, 2025 (EST)
:::::::::Just wanted to say that this isn't "the" Shogakukan guide, but it does seem be <s>co-</s>written <s>by Kadokawa and</s> Shogakukan with Nintendo supervision. Interesting! LinkTheLefty (talk) 17:04, March 8, 2025 (EST)
::::::::::I already found this find interesting due to some alternate names used for Prince Froggy and Piscatory Pete, and even cleaner artwork (including a never-before-seen one from Fat Guy). It even has some tips displayed in comic panels, in which the brown Yoshi is displayed as actually brown, rather than orange like the manual. 19:38, March 8, 2025 (EST)
:::::::::::Not only that, but it also contains Debu Ahō Mushi and the Tekkyū/Makiage divide. :::::::::This is the Guide, If you don't find him to be an enemy, you can still vote in the option below for Ice Block(Osbtacle) as long as you give a sustainable argument--Sorbetti (talk) 16:56, March 8, 2025 (EST)
