Concerning the proposals regarding Smash's Classic Mode and recreating the Subspace Emissary, would it be reasonable to say we don't really need this article? It's a sub mode in Smash that has all things to do with Smash itself, but little to nothing to do with the Mario series.

:While we're at it, we should also look at other purely Smash-oriented bonus stages/sub-games like Target Blast and  Trophy Rush. 22:03, April 18, 2022 (EDT)

:::These are necessary cuts, yeah? They are purely Smash related modes. I'm still okay with covering characters and stages (I've seen how other Wikis cover Smash and the way it's solely limited to the content relating to the Wiki's content makes it look really incomplete, which is why I naturally oppose cutting coverage of characters and stages and such). But I do feel that Smash modes can be cut back.
::::I suppose so. You did see that my Classic Mode and Subspace Emissary proposals aimed to emphasize the Mario-related aspects, correct? I suppose my worry about the loss of Smash Bros.-specific content is mainly that years of effort go to waste, so it helps when it's relocated somewhere else. :::::@Tails777: OK, pardon me if I'm going on a tangent here, but I help couldn't be baffled by your statement that other wikis are incomplete for only covering Smash content related to the wiki's franchise. You're completely wrong. That's exactly what they should be doing, and how I honestly think we should have been doing it too, from the very beginning. What you're effectively saying is that nearly every other NIWA wiki should have articles on Bayonetta and Solid Snake. Most of those franchises don't have nearly the amount of Smash representation Mario does. While I don't agree with the "Mario has the most Smash representation, therefore the Smash-series are Mario games and we should cover all their content" argument at all, you can't even say that about franchises like Animal Crossing or Star Fox. Them covering Smash the way we currently do would be like us covering non-Mario content from SSX on Tour.
:::::@Results May Vary: Even if you intended to emphasize the Mario content, you still proposed to create articles for Smash game modes when we rarely make articles for game modes in the first place. 14:37, April 20, 2022 (EDT)
::::::Ultimately, the extent of what Smash coverage should be on any wiki comes down to personal preference. Obviously you can disagree, but there's no reason to be acting like Tails' personal preferences and opinions on Smash coverage here or on any other wiki is objectively wrong. -- 14:56, April 20, 2022 (EDT)
:::::::@7feetunder: To be fair, I didn't say the other Wikis are doing things wrong by not having the same coverage we do, nor did I say our way of covering things was right. I'm just saying that it feels more complete when we do cover those things. Articles for every fighter and stage, arguably debatable (though I still have no problem with it), but at the very least Mario Wiki, on Smash Ultimate's article, still mentions each character and stage present, which is more what I meant by it feeling complete. This is in no means meant to slam on other Wikis, but even on their Ultimate's article, they make no mention of anything beyond what the Wiki naturally covers; some of them list each character, but very few, if any, even list the complete stage listing. I'm not pushing for any changes on the way anyone does things, I was merely stating what my opinion was. Though I guess I could've given a bit more context to what I was saying, so that could also be on me.
:I was thinking that we could list recurring SSB minigames on the series page itself and make this a redirect to the series page. I think that could work. Results May Vary (talk) 08:10, April 21, 2022 (EDT)
::That sounds like a very good idea! That way, we can trim the amount of smash pages we have while keeping as much info as possible and allowing more info to be added in the future. Somethingone (talk) 08:35, April 21, 2022 (EDT)
:::Yes because these are still minigames that Mario characters can participate in. Similarly, perhaps Classic Mode can be added into the series page itself, including all those notes that I made.
