H. L. L. cheats???
Something I have noticed a LOT is that, even when one number matches and in the right position (like ticket 5896, number 2791), Lucky says there's no matches! What gives? Do they have to match in an exact order, like it's only one number match if the RIGHTMOST digit matches? So not fair, Lucky. I'd Ultra Hammer you into orbit, but NPCs can't be attacked. WackoMcGoose
:Im pretty postive that it has to start matching from left to right, like 2876 and 2281.
::No, it's actually the other way around: right to left, like 0335 and 9105. --Dus T. 23:13, 22 March 2012 (EDT)
Myth debunked: winning HLL is not determined by a 1/X chance
so, this YouTuber recently (well, 7 days ago) released a video explaining in detail how the HLL doesn't work based on the results of the daily RNG roll. Rather, the day you win (relative to the day you purchased your ticket) is predetermined when you buy the ticket. It's kind of funny, since although the game cheats (well, sorta. At least it makes it so a hard-core player will eventually get everything. They just have to be really persistent), it also refuses to let you cheat and, if it detects you changing the RTC backwards, will either trigger a game over when you talk to Lucky (if it's happened before or you admit to it) or warn you never to do that again when you talk to him. If anyone feels like incorporating the information from the video into the article, you can find it here Macks2008
:Are you referring to the thing that's been on the page for like a week now? About when that video was uploaded? Look in the third paragraph. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 14:15, 31 August 2018 (EDT)
::oh, my bad. I really should read so I don't reinvent the wheel. Not only does that paragraph explain that the numbers are not random, but the paragraph before it explains all about cheating with the console's RTC, both forward and backward. Thanks for pointing out what I overlooked! I guess I was just being uncharacteristically stupid--Macks2008 (talk) 15:03, 31 August 2018 (EDT)
:::Yeah, I added that information in a week ago :P No worries, though, glad you thought of us after watching the video. 15:07, 31 August 2018 (EDT)
::::(I'm just tired of seeing it in my recommended videos myself IDC what crashes Paper Mario as I'd prefer not to, lel. Flavio everywhere!) Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 15:25, 31 August 2018 (EDT)
