:I'm fairly certain it's "Mokuka" in dialogue and "Mokura" when selected in battle.<br>EDIT: Confirmed in this video, among others. It's called Mokuka when it says "Duh, huh huh...", and then Mokura when it's selected.--vellidragon 15:48, 3 November 2010 (UTC)
I see. I guess the way it is now will work. Moving it to Mokuka would mean changing all of the links to this article anyway.--Knife 14:59, 5 November 2010 (UTC)
Move to Formless?
Considering this is its default state and it's the name that appears in both the original and the remake (ala Moleville Mountain), does anyone else think that the article title could be changed? LinkTheLefty (talk) 20:55, January 2, 2024 (EST)
:"Formless" is just when it's invisible, and "Mokura/Gassox" is when it reveals itself. So no, the article title should not be changed. 21:33, January 2, 2024 (EST)
:"Formless" could be seen as comparable to ???? from Superstar Saga, so I think it's fine as-is. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 22:42, January 2, 2024 (EST)
::In fairness, "Formless" still manages to be a unique name, whereas the old Moku- can be easily confused with Muku, and the new Gassox almost sounds like another relative of Puppox. LinkTheLefty (talk) 06:08, January 3, 2024 (EST)
:::Does slight name confusion really matter though (which can be subjective)? It looks to me like you're reaching a bit there. Regardless for that, Gassox still appears to be the proper name for the subject further clarified by the monster list profiles. 06:14, January 3, 2024 (EST)
::::What I read into the Monster List profiles ("...a creature that has no form." / "Formless no more, but still without substance...") is that your action is the catalyst turning Formless into Gassox, and so, Formless is its natural state. LinkTheLefty (talk) 06:35, January 3, 2024 (EST)
:::::I looked up the Japanese profiles, the Japanese equivalent of "Formless no more, but still without substance?!" is 「不明だった正体が明らかになった!?」, which DeepL translates as "The identity that was unknown has been revealed!?", and Formless's profile says 「正体が不明なので、解説のしょうがありません。」 ("Since its identity is unknown, there is no way to explain it."). Seems they changed it to fit the "Formless" name. Anyways, I think it should be kept as is. Blinker (talk) 12:19, January 3, 2024 (EST)
::::::「正体」also refers to true form or natural shape, which is most likely how Formless came out of the original phrase, but fine, that implicitly makes Gassox its "true" version. LinkTheLefty (talk) 12:31, January 3, 2024 (EST)
