Do we really need this article? It seems pretty useless. This info can be found on Luigi's page. Just because his name is mentioned once doesn't mean he gets an article. It's just a random generic name they threw in because his buddy needed to call him something (same thing with [[Johnson (Super Paper Mario)|this guy]]). He doesn't deserve an article anymore than his partner (Larry?) does. As a matter of fact, we have [[Hammer Bro Captain|quite]] [[Private Koopa|a few]] [[Johnson (Super Paper Mario)|articles]] like this that I'm really not sure about.<br>

:::OK, thanks, but now I have another thing to say. The Minor NPCs policy also says that if an unnamed NPC has some sort of improtance to the story, they should also be given an article. So should {{conjectural|Larry}} (Gary's friend) get an article? Or would it be redundant since he serves the exact same purpose as Gary? Sorry if I sound disagreeable, but I'm still new to some policies.

This article is about one of two Goombas who appear in Castle Bleck during Luigi's attempted escape. One of them is brainwashed and the other joins the winning team. When the first one is brainwashed, his buddy yells, <big>"GARY, NO!"</big>. That random name the developers threw in there is the only reason Gary got a page. The other Goomba, though, remains page-less, as he is unnamed. [[MarioWiki:Minor NPCs]] discourages articles on conjecturally named NPCS, '''but''' if an unnamed NPC can be said to have some sort of importance to the story, the character warrants an article. I see the other Goomba's betrayal as slightly important and individualistic, as it leads to the creation of Mr. L. Therefore, I propose creation of an article for the unnamed Goomba.

Naming might be tricky. [[User:Alex95|Alex95]] up there suggested {{fake link|Goomba (Super Paper Mario)}}, but since there are multiple Goombas in that game, that name is kinda iffy. Perhaps {{fake link|Goomba (Super Paper Mario character)}}, {{fake link|Goomba (traitor)}} or (if we're really desperate) {{fake link|Goomba (Gary's partner)}}. I'm taking suggestions.

Almost a year ago we had merged [[Talk:Jerry (Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story)#Merge to Magikoopa|Jerry]] and [[Talk:Kuribo#Merge with Sockop proposal.|Kuribo]], who are both just members of their spiecies that happen to have a name and nothing else, little to no story revelance, 2 minutes of screentime and no unique design, they used to have their own pages but now have been merged with their spiecies article's, so if they are no longer considered "worthy" of a page, than why should Gary have one? Those few minor things that Gary says/does could just be mentioned in the [[Goomba#Super Paper Mario|Super Paper Mario section of the Goomba article]].
