| ::Policy supports giving articles to any named NPCs, and also, the MPA characters have more going for them than just a name as I have argued time and time again. 19:10, 13 May 2017 (EDT)

| :::OK, thanks, but now I have another thing to say. The Minor NPCs policy also says that if an unnamed NPC has some sort of improtance to the story, they should also be given an article. So should Larry (Gary's friend) get an article? Or would it be redundant since he serves the exact same purpose as Gary? Sorry if I sound disagreeable, but I'm still new to some policies.

| |
| ::::At the very least, if "Larry" receives an article, he wouldn't be called Larry. When it comes to creating articles for NPCs that do not have names, the standard is to use short and succinct descriptions of their roles, such as Hammer Bro Captain, Beetle Mania Toad, and Excess Express Engineer. 19:49, 13 May 2017 (EDT)

| Forgot all about this. So should Gary's friend get an article? And if so, what would he be called? Gary's partner? Goomba traitor? Castle Bleck Goomba? He does serve a slightly separate role from Gary (betraying Luigi).<br>

| :Mariowiki:Minor NPCs discourages articles on conjecturally named NPCS, but if an unnamed NPC can be said to have some sort of importance to the story, the character warrants an article. While I see this Goomba's actions as relevant to the story, as his betrayal of Luigi contributes to the creation of Mr. L, what does everybody else think? Does this need a proposal?

| ::Bump. If I don't get an answer soon, I'll just go ahead with a proposal.

| :::Hm, proposal might be a good idea, tbh. "Goomba (Super Paper Mario)" maybe, since it doesn't actually have a name? 19:18, 6 February 2018 (EST)

| This article is about one of two Goombas who appear in Castle Bleck during Luigi's attempted escape. One of them is brainwashed and the other joins the winning team. When the first one is brainwashed, his buddy yells, <big>"GARY, NO!"</big>. That random name the developers threw in there is the only reason Gary got a page. The other Goomba, though, remains page-less, as he is unnamed. MarioWiki:Minor NPCs discourages articles on conjecturally named NPCS, but if an unnamed NPC can be said to have some sort of importance to the story, the character warrants an article. I see the other Goomba's betrayal as slightly important and individualistic, as it leads to the creation of Mr. L. Therefore, I propose creation of an article for the unnamed Goomba.

| Naming might be tricky. Alex95 up there suggested Goomba (Super Paper Mario), but since there are multiple Goombas in that game, that name is kinda iffy. Perhaps Goomba (Super Paper Mario character), Goomba (traitor) or (if we're really desperate) Goomba (Gary's partner). I'm taking suggestions.

| Vote for one of the names below.
| |
|
| |
| ====Goomba (Super Paper Mario character)====
| |
| #Ultimate Mr. L This isn't a standard identifier, but I think it works best.
| |
| #Toadette the Achiever Per Ultimate Mr. L. We have articles on each individual Mega Pi'illo, so why not this?
| |
| #Alex95 - This'll work for me.
| |
| #LuigiMaster123 This one seems the most fitting. Per all.

| Er, which name are we going with? One should probably be decided first, perhaps with individual headers. 20:03, 6 February 2018 (EST)

| == What? ==
| |
|
| |
| Hmmmmm... Creating Goomba (Super Paper Mario character) seemed Pretty Useless...after all That character 1. Doesn't have a name. 2. Doesn't Contribute much (if anything at all) To The Story. 3. Never Mentioned again. Plus it Just Creates more Conjectural Pages Which We Don't need More Of. LUIGIRULES71 (talk) 05:21, 27 February 2018 (EST)
| |
| :Should've voted in the proposal then. As it shows, the page's creation was agreed upon. 11:49, 27 February 2018 (EST)
| |
| ::Well 1 isn't Gonna Beat 4. (is it?) Plus i Was Going To Vote But.....Forgot..... Heh... LUIGIRULES71 (talk) 13:00, 27 February 2018 (EST)

|
| |
| :::You're right, 1 isn't going to beat 4, but your opinion is still valid. But it's a little too late to question the page, as the proposal has already passed.

| ::::If you wait four weeks, you’ll be able to overturn that proposal with another one. Four weeks from the proposal’s deadline would be March 21. - 16:12, 27 February 2018 (EST)
