| The YIDS NP guide refers to these guys as Gargantua Blarggs (p. 54: "Watch out for the Gargantua Blargg that crashes up through the rocks." and p.82: "Quickly shoot the Gargantua Blargg with an egg to stun it, then jump up the platforms to reach door i."), even though Crusher Blarggs are supposed to be subspecies of said Blaargs. The Prima guide also calls them Gargantua (p. 185: "There is a flower on the post next to the chambers' right wall, but watch out for the Gargantua Blargg that rises out of the lava-filled floor."). With that in mind, is the "Crusher Blargg" unique enough to warrant a separate article and the authors simply overlooked it, or should the article be merged while using the authors to support it? | | The YIDS NP guide refers to these guys as Gargantua Blarggs (p. 54: "Watch out for the Gargantua Blargg that crashes up through the rocks." and p.82: "Quickly shoot the Gargantua Blargg with an egg to stun it, then jump up the platforms to reach door i."), even though Crusher Blarggs are supposed to be subspecies of said Blaargs. | Is the above comment saying that the Island Museum calls this a Crusher Blargg true? Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 21:48, 18 November 2017 (EST)
| |
| :No, the Island Museum in the game just shows the enemy in a confined space but doesn't give them a name tag or description or anything like that. Crusher Blargg was just the conjectural name from that article. LinkTheLefty (talk) 08:15, 19 November 2017 (EST)

| |
| To me, the mere existence of this article is amusing enough to be BJAODN material. This is an enemy from the same game, with the same design, the same English name and much of the same in-game properties as normal Gargantua Blarggs... but it's tall. Thus, it somehow has a separate article from normal Gargantua Blarggs, when it should just be merged to that article instead.

|
| |
| From looking at this article's history, the article was created with a conjectural name, and it was later moved to its Japanese name (Sūpā Biggu Unbaba, or "Super Big Blargg"). One person pointed out in their edit summary that the article "could possibly be added to the gargantuan blargg page as there isn't much difference", and a merge has also been discussed above; likely the only reason that said merge didn't happen is that no one made a proposal to do so until now. The only differences at all are that the tall version appears in different areas, it can destroy dense rocks, and it has a different Japanese name, but these are clearly not enough unique attributes for tall Gargantua Blarggs to warrant their own article.

| ====Merge to Gargantua Blargg====
| |
| #ThePowerPlayer Per proposal.
| |
|
| |
| ====Keep article split====
| |
| #Doc von Schmeltwick - Judging by language-of-origin, this would be like merging Super Big Tap-Tap to Tap-Tap the Red Nose. And these ones are actually in the same game as each other! The English guide naming is unfortunate, but these are still not intended to be interchangeable.
| |
| #Pseudo Being a mechanically different enemy with a different Japanese name seems like more than enough reason to keep these articles separate – standard Gargantua Blarggs have well defined behavior as well.
| |
| #FanOfYoshi No.
| |
| #Tails777 Per all
| |
| #Hewer Per all.
| |
| #Arend This enemy has a different Japanese name and is treated as a different enemy in the Island Museum - even being in a completely different exhibit for giant enemies. More than enough reason to keep them split; the two sharing an English name doesn't justify the merge at all.
| |
| #Camwoodstock Per everyone else. Terrible naming aside, the game is confident in asserting them as different in every way except the name.

| ====Comments====
| |
| Looking at the comparison between Tap-Tap the Red Nose and Super Big Tap-Tap, I think I simply made an error of judgment. The opposition has made it clear to me that the tall Gargantua Blargg is in fact unique enough to have its own article; therefore, I'd like to request that this proposal be cancelled. 11:20, July 30, 2023 (EDT)

| It's soon enough after the proposal's creation that you can just cancel it yourself. Ahemtoday (talk) 11:36, July 30, 2023 (EDT)
