So... Why does this have a page? It doesn't seem to be relevant to the Mario series at all. --{{User:Waluigi Time/sig}} 21:28, February 22, 2020 (EST)

::I don't think being a precursor to Game & Watch Gallery makes it worthy of an article given our lessening coverage of it, and neither does having a Mario game stripped entirely of its Mario elements. That being said, is there any other precedent for a "reverse Doki Doki Panic" situation? --{{User:Waluigi Time/sig}} 22:46, February 22, 2020 (EST)

:::There's also the bit about how this version of Flagman is essentially the same as Flagman DD from ''Wario Land 2''. [[User:Doc von Schmeltwick|Doc von Schmeltwick]] ([[User talk:Doc von Schmeltwick|talk]]) 23:11, February 22, 2020 (EST)

Simply put, this page doesn't have a place here anymore. While it is a precursor to the ''Game & Watch Gallery'' games, we've heavily trimmed down our coverage of that series' non-Mario content. There are only two vaguely Mario-related connections in this game. First, it has Mario's Cement Factory, except renamed to just Cement Factory and stripped of all of its Mario elements, a sort of reverse Doki Doki Panic situation if you will. Second, [[Flagman D.D.]] in ''Wario Land II'' is essentially the same as this game's version of Flagman, some graphics aside, but we also don't have an article for the original version of Flagman anymore so I don't see that as a reason to keep this around.

#{{User|Alex95}} - I'm not seeing anything Mario-related at all, other than a pair of black and white overalls in ''Ball''{{'}}s Game Over menu. Per proposal.

#{{User|FanOfYoshi}} Per all. Wonder why it has been in the wiki in the first place.

If the loopy and long-winded last trivia point on the page is anything to go by, this isn't so much a "precursor" to G&WG than the actual first game of it, which is more than, say, ''Golf'' has for the ''Mario Golf'' series, ''Super Mario Bros. Deluxe'' to the ''Super Mario Advance'' series, and ''Donkey Kong'' Game Boy to the ''Mario vs. Donkey Kong'' series, which are considered precursors of those series (or at least the respective first game). Then again, I may have misunderstood said trivia point, as again, it's not well-written. Though that being said, if it means that the Japanese Nintendo made the G&WG games due to being inspired by this incidentally-PAL-using-region-exclusive thing, that would bring the "Doki Doki Panic" thing full-circle. :From what I understand, you're right, it's treated like the first game in the series in Japan and Australia. I don't think that's a good reason to keep it since we've restricted our coverage on the Game & Watch Gallery series to Mario content only, which this has none of. I wouldn't call it comparable to Doki Doki Panic since that was an originally unrelated game reworked into a Mario game, whereas this is a game that got a sequel with Mario content. Covering Game Boy Gallery makes about as much sense as a wiki covering earlier Smash games that didn't have content from their franchise. --{{User:Waluigi Time/sig}} 11:35, March 14, 2020 (EDT)
::By "full circle" I meant it being un-Mario'd and re-Mario'd. At the very least, its entry on the series page should probably be kept but re-linked to Wikipedia if it has such a page for it.
