== Just a Character? ==
If I remember right, wasn't Gabon just a character in the intermission between levels?  Perhaps you guys are looking at a player's guide, but I'm pretty sure that the intermission was just a reference the single character that's mentioned in the article. This enemy's name is a transliteration of the Japanese name of [[Spike]]. Additionally, the two look and act similarly. Therefore, the different name is probably a simple translation oversight.
