It seems like Flamm might be intended to be an equivalent to [[Charlieton]] from ''[[Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door]]'', judging by their somewhat similar appearances (both having pink toned skin, black oval-shaped eyes, and wild brown facial hair) and the same Japanese name. While they’re most likely not literally the same character, it seems like they’re likely a similar case to [[Merlon]] and the other [[Shaman]] characters, who appear with different appearances and roles across the first three Paper Mario games.
