:::SMRPG's localization was indeed very rushed, inconsistent, and in some cases at the mercy of mere character limits. The fact that many were likely done from mere text with no visual reference only exacerbates that. Granted, I think this is more a flowery name for a basic subject, but it's just as much a normal fireball as the ''Smash Bros.'' move. ::::I actually think this and the "Jump" special attack are split-viable because they're in-battle moves that cost FP; in other words, "[[Fire Orb]]" (Fireball) and its variants are spells that allow Mario to shoot several [[fireball]]s at once, which is fairly rare outside of Fire Mario and ''Super Smash Bros.'' I'm somewhat neutral on this one, though, because of the game's muddied localization choices, but thought that angle was worth bringing up. Turning this into a proposal. It seems inconsistent to have one as its own article and the other not, given that they represent Mario's most basic special moves. For what it's worth, the game describes the fireballs that Mario throws in this state as "fire orbs", so I do lean towards merging. Whichever one passes, it should resolve the inconsistency. | Turning this into a proposal.
