Since not everyone agrees with my interpretation of this situation, I'm going to use another multi-option proposal here. Though here are my thoughts with respect to this situation: I think [[Blue Finley]]s are clearly the parent species, seeing as how:
*[[Green Finley]]s are completely different in design. While Blue and Red Finleys resemble {{wp|piranha}}s, Green Finleys more closely resemble other freshwater fish, such as {{wp|wrasse}}s.
*[[Red Finley]]s are far less common than their blue counterparts, and aren't even seen out of water, unlike Blue Finleys.
Though interpret my findings however you like.

I do recognise they’re prone to mistakes regardless; the very same guide suggests performing a corkscrew attack to make [[Collapsible Underwater Grass|underwater vegetation]] retract, when simply swimming into it does the job.
