I was watching a video on this game, when right at the start, I noticed something in the [https://youtu.be/_BtuYIDSWK8?t=80 intro cutscene] (timestamped): The rival drivers' current names seem to be romanized from the Japanese text in the manual (which gives the drivers full names), while the game itself gives them Latin alphabet first names and surname initials. What's more, half of them ''have different names in the game and in the manual''!
