I feel this title would probably be better redirected to Donkey Kong (game), since I think it's more likely for someone to use this term to look for the first Donkey Kong, and (if they're familiar with how identifiers work and they know "Donkey Kong" refers to many things, including the character) as a guaranteed way to go to that page directly. This is something I do personally if I'm searching for the first in a series like on Wikipedia (e.g. "Bayonetta 1" if I don't know if "Bayonetta" leads to the series page or the game page). (EDIT: Also, another level in the game, Mario 1 (level), uses an identifier.) 05:58, December 29, 2024 (EST)

::I am aware of that, my point is to prioritise the title to the game (as a redirect) instead so users don't go through two steps (this page, then Donkey Kong (game)). 08:57, January 1, 2025 (EST)
:::My philosophy is that, as obscure and unimportant as Mini Mario & Friends: amiibo challenge is, it does have a thing that the wiki has granted an article named "Donkey Kong 1", and there are no other things that use the name "Donkey Kong 1". This thing's name being "Donkey Kong 1" overrides any non-naming scheme. (Yes, I know it's a level, I'm being general). This, in my opinion, is why not every game subtitle has a redirect. Most of them do, but some of the proverbial slots are taken by other things that have articles. (Super Mario 3D Land to 3D Land for instance, compare Super Mario 3D World to 3D World.) This is Super Mario Wiki, which is about all of the Super Mario things, even the ones people don't remember exist. :::Another comparison is Paper Mario: Sticker Star to Sticker Star. That does redirect, but only because Sticker Star is an implied location and therefore lacks an article. Salmancer (talk) 12:57, January 1, 2025 (EST).
::::You make a good point about subjects with exact titles taking priority for those titles, though there have been cases where more likely search intents take priority instead, like Goombas redirecting to Goomba instead of Goombas (microgame) taking that title even though there's nothing else titled "Goombas"; same with Jumpman's redirect to Mario instead of being the title for Jumpman (badge). I'd also argue 3D Land should be a redirect too for the same reason, especially since Smash is now a less focused part of our coverage. 05:59, January 2, 2025 (EST)
