I went ahead and moved this because it's a direct translation and I found no discussion on the subject or objections on the Talk Page, however now apparently I found that it's been listed as "To Be Discussed" on PopitTart's userpage (with no elaboration or seemingly discussion started)which I never in a million years would have thought to check for this kind of thing. :The point of the derived names proposal <small><small><small><small><small><small><small>everyone should've been on the same page</small></small></small></small></small></small></small> was to work in basic inference on adjacent subjects so some article titles don't stand out as much. It is not intended to override policy on [[MarioWiki:Japanese#Subjects with Japanese names|fan-translation]]. In this case, there is currently no adjacent subject named "Cat" [[Talk:Cat (parent)#Play Nintendo|(although there probably should be)]]. Additionally, there have been some questions on the usage of dev data recently, so even if there were a ''Bowser's Fury'' cat article, I'm not sure how viable a rename is at present. :UPDATE: adjacent subject moved. Might as well keep this for now at least. Only other thing was, referencing the internal names of [[kitten#Additional names|kitten]]s and [[cat (parent)#Additional names|cat]]s against [[Disaster Cat#Additional names|Disaster Cat]], I renamed Disaster Cat and Disaster Cat Parent to Disaster Kitten and Disaster Cat, respectively. Just letting you know that "Disaster Cat" is a bad name for this subject, the word "disaster" is used as a prefix to group all "disaster" (aka Bowser's Fury) objects together in relation to the game mode (disasterlightning, disastermodecontroller, disasterspiketorpedo, disasterwallstep, etc), the developers did not give this cat the name "disaster" for flavor reasons. {{User:Ray Trace/sig}} 20:41, January 11, 2025 (EST)
:Considering the lack of specific names for these things, it might make the most sense to just merge them to kittens. The whole thing feels like an extension of the [[Zeldawiki:Remlit|Remlit]]s from ''The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword'', which had a near-identical system and were always treated as the same thing regardless of if they were cute or scary at the time.
