I was lucky enough to get an interview with Deanna Mustard recently.

*A|my favorite color:  let's say green today.

*Q|What's your daily routine?
*A|my daily routine:  good question.  i live in los angeles, so i try to find ways to get out into the sunshine everyday.  i like to walk.

*Q|What was your life throughout school like? Would you classify yourself in a group? What sort of activities were you into?
*A|life at school:  i really enjoyed school.  i was involved in choir and theater.  i think participating in extra curricular activities introduced me to a diverse group of peers.  i kept busy outside of school as well, with dance.

*Q|What got you interested in acting/theater? Was that what you always wanted to do?
*A|did i always want to be an actor?: no.  i was interested in dance for most of my childhood, and wasn't introduced to theater until high school.  i wanted to try something new, and auditioned for a one act play written by a senior.  i was then approached by the drama teacher, and she persuaded me to sign up for her class.  i did, and i fell in love with it.

*A|my first job:  i worked for my grandparents answering the office telephone and filing paperwork.

*Q|You graduated in 1999, right?
*A|high school graduation:  i graduated from high school in 1999.  i then joined the theater department at Cornish College of the Arts in the fall.  i received my degree in acting in the spring of 2003.

*Q|What was your favorite role in a play?
*A|favorite role:  i loved playing gertrude stein in a piece called "notorious women."  i really got into the research.  playing gertrude was a challenge for me.  also, i have a very special place in my heart for a character named darla danson.

*A|most recent:  the most recent character i've played is princess daisy.

*Q|Do you have work outside of acting?
*A|work outside of acting:  yes.  i am a barista.

*Q|How did you get into portraying Daisy? Did you audition for the part? Were you asked to be her voice?
*A|how did i get to play daisy:  i worked with an agent in seattle after i graduated from cornish, and i auditioned for the voice of a young golf enthusiast.  i did not get the part of the young enthusiast, but i was invited to play the part of princess daisy.

*Q|Is there anything you tend to say/do a lot when portraying Daisy?
*A|is there anything i tend to do/say when playing daisy:  i have a little hook i use to get back into the voice when we go into recording.  i tend to get a little physical in the sound booth.  it's a lot of fun.  i love playing daisy.  i think she is a bit more loud than peach, and probably more outspoken.  i especially enjoy the mario strikers games for that reason. 
i'll stop here.  it has been an honor to be invited to work on the mario bros. games, and i'll participate as long as i am given the opportunity.  i think princess daisy has quite the fan base.  maybe we will see more of her in the future.

Really though, it took a long time to get there, and it was only a couple of days before she sent me an email explaining she knew I was trying to contact her. ==Article Is Too Short for FA Status==
Now that the article is shortened, it isn't long enough for being featured anymore. After removing categories, quotes etc., the article has 2822 characters (3164 if you count the External Links which I'm not sure is allowed) &ndash; 4000 are required. But even before shortening, there were only 3191 characters (3533 including External Links). I think we should deny the FA status since the article doesn't meet our current requirements; opinions? {{User:Time Q/sig}} 05:41, 12 August 2008 (EDT)
:Come to think of it we've never had a process for removing FA status.  I was wondering what we'd do if, say, Daisy appeared in a new video game after the users updating her article left, so no one put that in the article.  Wouldn't that make it incomplete and thus not of FA status?  Anyway, something to think about is that we may need to create such a process to ensure that people do not forget about articles as soon as they get FA status. {{User:Stumpers/sig}} 15:00, 12 August 2008 (EDT)

:::I just took a look at the [[MarioWiki:Featured articles]] page and I'm not seeing anything that would either support or inhibit the action of removing an FA.  The surefire way of doing this is writing up a proposal, passing it, and then taking down Deanna Mustard through whatever new process we're talking about - that way we don't have to worry about anyone getting upset that the article was taken down based on a rule that was added after this article was nominated without discussion.  I'm worried because right now a group of sysops cannot make an article an FA without first bringing it public, so why should removing FA status be different? ==Non-Mario information==
It seems like starting from "She currently lives in Los Angeles, California" in the intro and ending at the end of the "School Life and Theatrical Interest" section, all of the info stated is not related to the ''[[Mario (franchise)|Mario]]'' franchise in any way. Should it be removed? --{{User:Marcelagus/sig}}
:We're talking about real life people. We can't write everything about the Mario series. {{User:Reversinator/sig}}
::Yes we can. See: [[Charles Martinet]] and [[Koji Kondo]] for some examples. Even the content in the [[Shigeru Miyamoto]] article only discusses his motives and becoming of a video game designer for Nintendo, leading up to the creation of Mario. This article, in my opinion, doesn't need to mention that she is a Barista or that she used to work for her grandparents. --{{User:Marcelagus/sig}}
There's nothing wrong with having information about a human that isn't completely related to Mario. Characters from outside of the Mario series such as Sonic have information outside of Mario and it's simply because there's nothing wrong with having information on a page that isn't completely Mario related. If the page had only Mario information, the reader wouldn't be reading much and the page would be much less informative. I just suggestive you deal with the idea there's nothing wrong with this. ::In my opinion, the relevant more special non-''Mario'' information depends on what the person did contribute to the ''Mario'' series. So for a voice actor, that would be other activities related to acting, while a game designer's biography should include other notable works related to the game industry, and in case of a person who is known for designing characters, works related to other visual arts such as animation might be relevant. ==Voice of White Mage==
I've seen the voice credits for Mario Hoops.  There are as follows:

Charles Martinet, Kaoru Sasashima, Hironori Miyata, Kazumi Totaka, Katsumi Suzuki, Sanae Susaki, Takashi Nagasako, Nate Bihldorff, Michael-Christopher Koji Fox, Noriko Iwahara

Mustard isn't credited along with Taylor, Rogers and Burns, implying that all their voice clips are recycled.  I think the voice of the White Mage is Noriko Iwahara.  She is a localizer at Square Enix (as is Michael-Christopher Koji Fox) and is thus the only English-speaking female actually credited.
