| Both [https://www.nintendo.co.jp/wii/rmgj/prologue/index04.html?_ga=1.197279663.1097829387.1462674493 Nintendo's website] and [[wikipedia:ja:ロゼッタ (ゲームキャラクター)|the Japanese Wikipedia]] list the Japanese name of the Comet Observatory as "ほうき星の天文台". The current name in the foreignname box, "彗星観測所", comes from Google Translate I think because (1) if you enter "Comet Observatory" into Google Translate the Japanese outcome is exactly "彗星観測所 ''Suisei kansokujo''" and (2) Bing searching "彗星観測所" gives no result that has something to do with ''Mario'' games and (3) "彗" is a rare kanji and I don't think Nintendo will use it in a video game, as the alternative spelling "ほうき星" is availavle. {{User:A gossip-loving Toad/sig}} 23:01, 7 May 2016 (EDT)

By the way, that name has already been copied onto [[it:Osservatorio Cometa|the Italian Super Mario Wiki]] -- lol.
