Why are these two clearly different microgames merged into this article? I mean, sure, they both make use of the Ultra Hand, but they otherwise have completely different objectives: ''Touched!''{{'}}s version has the simple task of grabbing a ball, whereas ''Gold''{{'}}s version is a '''boss''' microgame, no less, and features the "complicated" task of grabbing some pelagic fish from a man's back pocket to feed to three different cats. This alone, I feel, is enough to warrant a split.

Do you think Nintendo INTENDED to make them two separate micro-games. Many returning micro-games have differences. :Clawing for More has many more differences than Loot Scoot and Wario's Adventure do across their separate versions. It's not whether or not Nintendo ''wanted'' them to be classified as different microgames; it's if they work better, from an organizational point of view, as separate articles, and the microgame's differences between versions makes this true. {{User:JoeRunner/sig}} 17:08, May 11, 2020 (EDT)

Hmm, so let’s start this proposal backward and work back to the point. Remember [[Super Pyoro]]? The minigame that is just {{id|Pyoro|minigame}} with a couple other layers of mechanics? What if Super Pyoro was just called “Pyoro”? (For some inane reason, work with me here.) Well, we’d probably just say “''WarioWare Gold'' also has Pyoro, but its version has a large number of mechanical additions” and only use one article.

Still with me? Well, Boss Game [[Clawing for More (WarioWare Gold)|Clawing for More]] has the same mechanical base as standard microgame [[Clawing for More (WarioWare: Touched!)|Clawing for More]]: swipe down on the Touch Screen to extend the Ultra Hand to grab an object, then swipe up to pull back the Ultra Hand while carrying the object. It’s just that the Boss Game, being a Boss Game, adds a couple dozen layers of mechanics on top so that it’s a proper conclusion for 9-Volt’s stage. (By my count, its 5 layers, but level 1 only has 3 of them.) The core of the game remains the same: grab something with the Ultra Hand with one swipe on the touch screen, then use a second swipe to reel it back in. To further the point, they even both have the same opening: the man in the Boss Game in level 1 won’t start turning around until you’ve taken the first fish and made it back to the safety of the bush. The crab is so slow that unless you’re messing with the game like I do, there no way it kicks away the Ultra Hand before you’ve pulled all the way back down. Ergo, a little less than 1/3 of level 1 of Clawing For More ''Gold'' is level 1 of Clawing for More ''Touched!''. Given this, these two microgames are actually one microgame. As such, they should have one page, at this article, called "Clawing for More", covering the single subject with two renditions in the series.

If they had different names, then saying the Boss Game is based on the non-boss microgame makes sense, but they have the same name, so it’s less that one is based on the other and more that the same game got promoted to boss fight.

As for the counterarguments: [[Wario Dance Company (WarioWare: Smooth Moves)]] and [[Wario Dance Company (WarioWare Gold)]] shouldn’t be merged because while the two games have the same name and a similar theme, they don’t have the same mechanical base: ''Smooth Moves'' has the player copy moves in a wave pattern, while ''Gold'' is a “repeat after me” affair. [[Super Wario Dance Company]] trips the Super Pyoro clause, “new name, new thing”. While merging the Clawing for Mores creates a “two articles stacked on top of each other” scenario, guess what other similar case is already a “two articles stacked on top of each other” scenario? (Padding so that if you scroll you have time to guess the answer. On a side note, the the retheming shouldn’t matter because plenty of microgames received rethemes for ''WarioWare Gold''. More padding. This is enough, right? Am I committing too much to the bit? Here's a hint, scroll upward to the last header.) 

[[Wario’s Adventure]], just that that boss microgame was downgraded to regular microgame. 1/3 of Wario’s Adventure Gold (the first level) is about 2/8ths of Wario Adventure Mega Mircogame$! (the first and fourth parts). If everything else between these games are different, and they share the same page, I see no reason to say Clawing for More ''Gold''’s nearly entirely additive mechanics (the only removed element is bombs moving back and forth) put it a league away from the ''Touched!'' version. 

(Side note: this also affects how the [[List of WarioWare Gold microgames]] is referring to Clawing for More ''Gold'', but like that's a given and doesn't need options, right?)
