There's really no evidence these are called Stompin' Chomps. As I said [[User talk:Doc von Schmeltwick#Stompin' Chomps|here]], the only source for this name is [[Rompin', Stompin' Chomps]], which is most likely meant to read "Rompin', Stompin' [[Chomp]]s", not "Rompin', [[Stompin' Chomp]]s". :::Since the article says that they are prominent in Rompin', Stompin' Chomps, I checked the info there. In the Nintendo Power guide, they are referred to as "bouncing Chomps" and are differentiated from Incoming Chomps, although it also refers to the Chomp Shark as both an "Incoming Chomp" and "Chomp". In the Prima Games guide, those three are more generally referred to as "Chomps" in that section. However, earlier on page 16, it is mentioned that Winged Clouds can be "smashed with a rolled Romp Chomp", although that appears to just be an alternate name for Chomp Rock, which the rest of the guide seems to get right. While I understand why "Stompin' Chomp" can't be relied on as an official name, this enemy ''does'' have an official English name, which ''is'' present right there in the level's title, which is just "Chomp" — this is also backed up by both the Nintendo Power and Prima guides, as mentioned by LinkTheLefty in the above discussion. It unfortunately seems that while this enemy has an official name, it's a pretty indistinct one, which we actually have precedent for from the same game, in fact, with [[Gargantua Blargg (tall)]]. Per the [[MarioWiki:Naming|naming policy]], this should be moved to its in-game English name, which in this case is just Chomp.
