We really shouldn't be considering them "unused;" both the graphics and the palettes ''are'' used separately, and there's no extra coding like for SMB3's green Para-Beetles. Calling them "unused," therefore, provides a dangerous slippery slope where any palette slot and graphic combination could be considered unused if it doesn't come into play. I do think it's not a bad thing to extrapolate from an existing palette combination to envision what each color of Yoshi would look like as a car. The Proto Piranha's reasoning was concerning the asset possibly just borrowing textures from the existing environment[https://www.mariowiki.com/MarioWiki:Proposals/Archive/72#Delete_Alternative_Proto_Piranha_Images] rather than being its own "unused" colors. If that's the case that's just programming behavior (perhaps an expected fallback for entities that lack textures) and may lend to a misleading impression these are unused variants of Proto Piranha. {{User:Mario/sig}} 15:25, February 22, 2025 (EST) | ||
