The status effect as it appears in Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is almost nothing like it is in other Mario RPGs. In fact, the only real similarities are what would probably be expected: that they are inflicted from fire-based attacks, and that they're represented by the victim catching fire. Granted, the Burn status in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door is also slightly different, but it nonetheless retains the same basic element(s) possessed by the status effect as it occurs in the Mario & Luigi games. So yeah, I'd say this is fair game for a split. | The status effect as it appears in Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is almost nothing like it is in other Mario RPGs.
