Could it be that Bumbleprods are redesigned versions of [[Spiky]] from ''Wario Land 4''? Not only is their behavior virtually the same, but the Japanese names are identical. They're certainly closer in appearance and function than the ''Wario Land'' and ''Wario Land II'' versions of [[Pouncer]].
