I know it's probably not exactly a top in terms of naming priority, per MarioWiki:Naming, but I just personally find this name better than "floating platform". 19:02, December 28, 2024 (EST)

: I am curious to know what you think. I do think officially licensed guidebooks and even comments from Nintendo staff through social media posts or YouTube videos should be prioritized over the toy sets, but in this specific case, "Bone Lift" is clearly being exercised with proper localized intent, and for an officially-licensed product that is highlighting it. I think this name should be prioritized over "falling platform" or "slow falling platform" from the Prima Games guidebook. "Bone Lift" would be the first proper English localization for this object. Those names were clearly informal descriptive monikers. But what do you think? - Nintendo101 (talk) 19:59, December 28, 2024 (EST)

::In general, I prefer contemporaneous guidebooks over material that came later, and I think the Naming policy should be slightly amended to reflect that better due to changes over the past year - but the Prima descriptors are too generic in this instance, and I think the direct "bone lift" translation would be preferred. We can always leave it up to a proposal, though. LinkTheLefty (talk) 12:35, December 29, 2024 (EST)
