they didn't unless you have a source that proves pushy wall is the English name we use the Japanese name same goes for flimp {{User|Goomba's Shoe15}}
:I think Pushy Wall was a conjectural name, so we named the article like that until we found an official name, so we moved it and kept the name we first used for English speakers. {{User:BabyLuigiOnFire/sig}}

The SMG2 Prima Game Guide didn't mention them. The SMG Prima Guide called them "''Sliding Stones''". {{User:Mario Bros.!/sig}}

With that and the redesign, I think they probably had the Bomp name in mind by then, or at the very least were moving away from Moving Bars name. The article seems fine as is. So I do believe the new name came alongside the redesign.
